Kubrick faking the moon landing, coming off 2001, is one of my favorite conspiracy theories. I laughed when i first saw the trailer because i couldn't believe they were going there.

This movie is what you would expect a movie about the funding for the NASA program would look like if Disney made a movie about it. But I think Disney would have pulled at our heart strings a lot more. It's very cheesy, it feels long, and not that good. It's a safe movie you can watch with your parents. I just wanted to see Scarlett Johansson.

I enjoyed the movie. I remember watching the moon landing in the middle of the night on our black and white TV as a child. Seeing it again was nostalgic. Loved the recreation of 1969. The clothes, the hairstyles, the cars, the music, the interior spaces and NASA property. The way the movie opened with the faked pregnancy by the advertising lead (Scarlet) for meeting with the car company male execs was so fun and unexpected. Woody Harrelson has never been more Woody Harrelson. Perfect casting. Ray Romano was terrific. Channing was fine. I was moved by the memorial to the Apollo 1 astronauts.

I already saw this movie last Friday. As usual, I loved Harelson's lines about how americans shouldn't let the world live under a communist moon and how Americans should beat up Russia on TV. But! This is such sugary American patriotic propaganda, so cheesy, so clichéd....I was already thinking "maybe it's a parody?". But the Americans in the audience laughed and applauded at the end. So

I did not interpret the movie that way at all. The movie was about why you shouldn't lie and how there is more reward in accomplishing something real rather than faking your way through life. The lines about communist Russia was said more in jest, and to reflect the real attitudes that existed at the time rather than to instill any patriotism in the audience.

I agree that Channing Tatum was miscasted, which was my immediate thought in the 1st few mins of this movie, b/c his acting style didn't suit this 60's era. I also agree that Ray Romano should have been the lead (male) character. Plus, I, too, liked Jim Rash the most, who I thought was a scene stealer b/c he added humour that this movie needed. I unfortunately didn't like this movie as much as I was initially hoping for.

I just finished the movie and I agreed they did miscast Tatum, but I like the romance, but it also felt forced. Overall, I was wondering at the end of the movie is this based on a true story 😂 did Someone finally speak up because because logically it makes sense for the government to make a separate video cast of the moon landing. First time watching your guys can’t wait to see what else you guys produce for videos.

Guys, I really enjoyed the film. “There was a subtle undertone that ran through the film. 1969 was such a different time in this country. It was probably one of the most important beautiful era when Apollo 11 gave us as Americans a sense of unity, Lines like “we need to beat Russia. It’s ironic the time we are living in actually letting Putin, trump and Russia strategically destroy this country. I know you are probably not political…..but I hope this does well and people witness a different time in our country. I think that is extremely important today.. The Louisiana senate portraying A somewhat Christian Right was also another ironic part reflecting the dilemma i fee this country is facing Project 2025. You guys were really harsh in Channing Tatum. He was definitely upstage by Scarlett’s truly entertaining performance. It was poignant that my recently transitioned saw “First Moon”, I wish he and I could have seen this film because we were heavy moviegoers. It was an unexpected enjoyable film. The gay character was cute, I guess. Dissecting the film was really difficult to understand. Most of all,, your reviews are important part of my movie choices l really look forward to them
