Fly Fishing the FAMOUS LeTort Spring Run for BIG WILD BROWN TROUT

In this video I fished the lower section of the LeTort Spring Run and found myself going toe to toe with some of the biggest wild brown trout I had ever hooked. While it is a tough stream to fish, the LeTort holds some true monsters…

Good stuff. I’d like to see you keep the fish in the water a bit more for their sake. Congrats on the good fish

I always try to do that however as you can see in some of my videos I often forget to do that just because I’m so excited about the catch. I’ve been trying to get better about fish handling

Ill be fishing that Sunday. Cant wait to try it out. I heard its tough i fish with micro jigs and plastics. Is alot of it posted? Or are people pretty friendly around the creek?

There’s a lot of public water in the fly fishing only section, but obviously you can’t fish that with the jigs and plastics. In the section I fished you can use whatever you want, and I’m pretty sure the whole stretch is public (never had anyone say anything or seen any signs posted). I was just above LeTort falls, keep in mind that the falls themselves below mill road is private property but upstream from there to route 11 should all be public

@@EndlessApproachOutdoors I’ve only fished the LeTort twice and both times I was in this section, so I’m not sure. I’d assume you would be fine though, I’ve seen those videos too. Good luck man there are some big ones hiding in there

Took me a minute to figure out what part you were in? Curious how you’re accessing it though because it’s all private property down by the falls. It’s sucks to do but I just walk up the falls and crawl under the bridge and then fish up through. There’s are some absolute monsters in that general area though.

No posted signs upstream from mill road. I just walk over the bridge and then get in upstream from there, I’ve literally been fishing while landowners were outside and nobody has ever asked me to leave

@@mpfishing5530 I could’ve sworn it was posted on the middlesex road side of the creek above the bridge too. I know it is below the bridge, used to be allowed access on the lower side of the bridge until people started parking in the grass there to go swim. I live about five minutes from there now I’ll have to drive down and check because I’m curious. Either way awesome fish man!

@@AaronFoose to be honest, while I wouldn’t have gotten in there if I DID See signs, I definitely wasn’t looking for them too hard 😂
