FLY FISHING in NEW ZEALAND and HOW TO TIE A DRY / DROPPER RIG!!

Спорт

Part 2 of of a cool trip into the wilderness looking for new water and exploring the unknown in the search for big trout. The bad weather that was forecast came in early overnight and makes for a wet and miserable day on the water but it didn't affect the fishing negatively in any way.
I also show you how I set up and tie my Dry / Dropper rig for this style of fishing.

All of those fish were gorgeous. The colors on those rainbows were amazing. However, that last brown, holy cow. Every once in a while, you come across a brown that is picture perfect, a perfect specimen. That was one for sure. Good thing you pushed up stream for one more fish. Well done. Huge fan of your videos.

Great finish Alex. I had a very long hike out last season that was made 100% easier by catching a stunning large brown before the turn around. Talk about being energised for the hike.....you never seem to have a problem with that by the way.....

Well, it's warm for November and overcast here in CT. I was out fishing yesterday and the trout are on redds now. So I am not going to fish for the next month or two. Give them a break since trout season is a 365-day-a-year thing now in CT. I still have two deer tags to fill. Right now it's near 60 deg F. I wish I had the money to spend now till the end of march in NZ, its on my Bucket list. In the mean time its NZ trout fishing Porn on KZread!

I really enjoyed this trip you shared. Always beautiful and appreciate as always the quick tips and experiential advice. When you set up your dries for the day could you talk about the hatches you're seeing and what you're using to match it.

Did you see the fish rise behind you when you ere chatting about that 1st fish... about 5:56/7. Looked like a fish, right under the far bank.
