I was fortunate enough to have an endorsed fly fishing guide take me steelhead fishing on the cowlitz river in Washington when I was a teenager. I will never forget it it was incredible. He tied his own flies and I watched him catch massive steelhead. I would love to go again. Steelhead was the only fish he would keep he released everything else I ever fished with him.

I can't really describe how much I love this video series. I use to play these videos while tying my own flies, I love it! I'm from Norway and live by the fjord (in the west). I have one 5 weight and one 7 weight rod that I usually use, although the 7 weight is the go-to for sea trout fishing in the fjord. It was only two summers ago I finally cracked the code for fly fishing for sea trout, and since I have experimented with many different fly patterns and techniques. I have found three winner fly patterns: 1) A flourecent red/orange or pink shrimp imitation, rather big, between 7 to 10 cm in total length. 2) A black or dark blue toby fish imitation, like a streamer with a zonker strip of rabbit or similar. And 3) A more classic fly pattern in light brown/grey/yellow/green colors. All patterns above have flashabou tinsel or similar for a vivid, life looking effect. Tom, if you are reading this I would recommend you to come to Norway for sea trout fishing some time in summer, it would be worth it! Best wishes, Samuel
