Fly fishing is the most satisfying bass fishing ever
I've been fly fishing for years, but have really just started targeting bass. If I could pass along anything, try to reduce the number of false casts. Like you found out when you had a knot in your line, even imperfect casts can produce fish, so play every cast like you're going to hook up. The second thing, try not put your hand above the cork handle, it changes the intended flex of the rod and can cause the rod to break.
Just got my first fly rod about a month ago and love it. Really enjoy fly fishing for bass.
Gotta love catching bass on the fly.
Love the fly fishing content we need more !!!!
Just got my first fly setup today and some gear. Took it out before sunset because I couldn’t wait, and to my surprise, it wasn’t too difficult. I was mentally struggling thinking I’d never get good at it but it was fairly simple with a few minor tweaks I read and watched. Needless to say I caught 2 bluegill and a bass out a pond. That’s a golden start for me!
Yes, all the fly fishing!!
Shoulda been throwing the frog popper out there too man ! Coulda joined in on some of the top water action 🐸
YES FINALLY FLY FISHING
Man, that bass hitting the fly while literally fixing your line was awesome!
Just started to learn fly fishing. Thanks for info into learning a little more. It always helps.
Nice Bass on the fly rod. All I do is fly fishing
Never been fly fishing you made it look like it's really fun great video
Great video Fletcher. You two work well together. Thanks.
I love fly fishing. I bring it when I go fishing for catfish for something to do while I wait! Always amazes my friends as they never fly fished before. I always offer to teach them cause it's really not that hard! Awesome video man
Epic fishing guys, loved it🤯! Keep them awesome videos coming 👍! Got new subscriber/fisherman here from Kazakhstan 😉✊🖐😎
Let’s goo bossbassing!
Love the fly content! You killed it man
Great video. Would love to go bass fishing in the US. But for now I’ll stick to fly fishing trout in the UK.
That was a Great video Fletcher 💥💥🇺🇸🇺🇸 keep up the Good work man really enjoy your content 👍 💯
More fly content!! 👏👏👏
I’m from Wise Virginia! Love your videos! I mostly fish for any kind of bass. Just any type fish actually! But loved this content an keep these coming. I have just as much fun watching you as I do actually fishing! 🐟
Hell yeah, another banger
awesome video fletcher, your contents awesome!!!
It would be so fun to catch fish like this
2:15 had me weakkkk 😂😂😂
Great job 👏
I had a TFO BVK back in like 2013 and I LOVED it! It was a 6weight and I got to bring in some huge smallies on the reel. One of the best days of fishing of my life. When I joined the military I didn’t have the locations to use it so I sold the whole outfit :/. Something is badass about holding a rod that weighs like a feather and dragging in a large bass on it! Hope to get back into it someday. For no I use a lews Mach 1 baitcasting rig when I have time to go out
That pond would be awesome if someone put some forage fish in there like shiners.
nice casting!
First time I fished with what I had for a fly rod (old casting reel and casting rod) wading chess high in a pond listening to bluegills smack poppin bug. That was 60 years ago.
Caught my first fish on the fly yesterday. First fish was a 2lb bass, caught 12 fish total with the biggest being 3lbs. It's crazy how much harder the fight feels on a fly rod. I got a 6 weight to use for bass and trout. Man I can't weight to get back out with the fly rod again.
Had a pretty good summer fishing for bass with my fly rod… time for trout
What a Tornado ? Just bring a fly rod !!!
Hey you got advice for when I fly fish my bait always ends up coming off when I cast out I’ve looked up some good ways to Ty it on but it always comes off
Dude, love this video. Those were some nice fish to catch on the fly, nothing like it. What kind of fly rod setup are ya using?
Oh man. Bead head wooly bugger in olive with sparkle. I've caught so many bass that way
4:40 that is how you end up with a 5 piece TFO rod rather than the 4 it was made as.. It's super easy/convenient to grab the rod higher up to bring the fish in, but you really have to be mindful to not do it, otherwise you'll end up snapping it. And again around 7:10.. making me nervous for you. keep the base of the rod in your left hand, point the tip up and behind your head to keep the line tight while bringing it closer, then reach out with right hand and grab the line
Found a no.8 Berkley Buccaneer in mint condition at a flew market last week. Putting a vintage Orvis 7/8 with 7 line on it for bass. Can’t wait to get out there.
We need more of these fletcher!
If it wasn't you, and crew I'd fast forward and move on...just a visit no like no comment..it's the Fletch n Krew !! keep up the great uploads!
When your reeling in the fish and you have all that line out, you need to palm the reel to get the line back in while fighting the fish. Just pinch the line on the cork with your finger while palming the reel to get the line back on the spool. Then no issue's with the birds nest in front of you while your fighting that bad boy. If he/she is big and runs you are going to lose it when the floating line hits that first eye. Not to mention your reel should have a good drag system and can handle the pull. Get all that extra line back onto the spool and let the reel handle the rest...assuming you have a 3 or 4 pounder on using maybe 4x leader. Nice Fish Sir!
Learn the double haul. I noticed when you thought your cast was short of where you wanted it,you yanked it out to recast. Fish it out. Then recast. Not being critical, just some tips after watching. Nice fish
What kind of boat is that
What fly do you have tied on there for bass?
Caught a nice bass and blue gill on the fly my first time out targeting bass. It is awesome. What fly did you use in this video? I used a clouser minnow

Looked like a white bait fish imitation. With red to make it seem like a hurt fish. Probably a shad imitation
What size rod and weight and line do you use?
pro tip when you get a big fish on reel in your slack and use your reel
Thing about fly fishing for bass in texas especially with wooly buggers you catch all kinds of species bass, panfish, sandbasss, drum and even catfish.
what kind of boat is that?
Great vid! Are you using a sink tip?
I forgot to ask, but what fly did you use?
What fly setup is that
Came here from Noah's channel but I was more interested in the fly fishing!

what wt is the rod?
I'm jealous I only caught three bass on the fly. Only one I could keep.
Good video! Utilize your reel though for fighting fish. Unless it's a dink of a fish.
What kind of fly is it respond thanks
7 or 8weight fly rod?
I guess a 100 years ago... the Fly rod was a standard for Bass... ,..
What combo
I am so jelly. I have tried catching a bass with a fly rod but haven't caught anything bigger than like 14-15 inches. The other day I caught a small one and a big one swallowed it and spit the poor thing out. It was still alive but all its fins were messed up.
How much are those small boats
Ok... So ive been fishing bass large and small. I use craw plastics. Top water frogs and bugs. Soft plastic swimbaits. Crank baits. But i always see these monster bass jumping at nothing. What are they jumping at? A little weeee fly? Blows me away.
Dude where is the big bass rig!!!
I don't like this content.. I love it!!
I haven’t been fly fishing in a very long time. I know it’s pretty expensive getting into it and I’d rather spend money on traditional bass gear. THAT SAID, is there a decent beginner fly setup that you’re aware of that is on the less expensive side of things, but is not just a cheap POS? I think about the Abu Garcia Black Maxx with bait casters. A fine beginner setup that isn’t the best quality, but is pretty darn serviceable at a more modest price point. Anything like that for fly fishing that you’re aware of?
My dad used to tell me stories of my great grand dad bass fishing with fly rod, I’ve always wanted to try but have never done it

My dad and grandfather didn’t let me cast a spin rod until I was well into high school. For any species, trout, bass, saltwater. All on the fly, still only use a spinner once every few years.
You gotta work on that cast bro lol
what kind of boat are you using? is it very stable?

I caught a skinny bass yesterday day so I caught a bluegill really quick and it just so happened to be perfect size for him to eat him and trimmed his fins and put it in the basses mouth and released him and watched the bass swallow the bluegill. Felt bad so I fed him
colden carried 😤💪💪
( one cant sink those little boats most stable things on the planet)
Bendiciones hermosa Celina quek Dios te cuide donde quiera que gisellee.monster encantan tus videos.
That wasn’t a 3 pounder. Maybe 2 at most
Hint from a fly fisherman. Never ever...put your bloody fly on the water while trolling or sitting about. I had a 27 inch pickerel roll on a popper and swallowed it. Nearly took my rod and reel. I got it in net before it spit the hook. Personal best.
Come on fletcher fly fishing we don’t wanna see that my guy I understand you can’t make videos like that cause of work or school but give us something that we wanna see you and noah or you by yourself with big bass and drop two videos a week
So bad your cast
Nice fish, only annoying thing is the gratuitous use of “let’s go” 👎🏼
