    18 is best for small creeks tho just so you can get your fly down deeper into those better holes that hold alot of bigger trout

    i would lengthan the line from the indicator to the fly to about 18 to 20 inches

    I usually fish with about a foot or so, simply because that’s the average depth. The creeks can be deceptively shallow. I will raise the bobber up to 3 feet at times depending on how deep the water is but the flies they like to bite often don’t sink well especially in fast current so it doesn’t get down far enough anyway. I need to start experimenting with split shots to really work the bottom of the pools

    @@mpfishing5530 yeah split shot works well or just adding like 1 or 2 flies to make a nymph rig works really well because when the water is cold the fish hangout on the bottom
