Flux Footwear ADAPT HIGH-TOP TRAINER Review | Worth it?

READ MY REVIEW: thatfitfriend.com/flux-adapt-...
The Flux Footwear Adapt High-Top Trainer is designed to deliver a versatile performance with its flexible and zero-drop sole construction.
As someone who regularly wears high-top shoes for training like the Vans Sk8-Hi and GORUCK Ballistic Trainer Mid for training, I was stoked to put the Adapt High-Top Trainer to the test and see how they compare.
In my Flux Footwear Adapt High-Top Trainer review, I'll cover multiple topics to help you decide if this shoe is right for you.
0:00 Pros
1:34 Cons
3:19 Performance
6:38 Price
6:59 Who Should/Shouldn't Buy These?
8:03 Sizing & Fit
8:45 Weight, Drop, and Insole
9:00 Construction
10:18 Final Remarks
Overall, I like the Flux Footwear Adapt High-Top Trainer for certain contexts but it does have a few areas where it can be improved.
For example, I like that this shoe fills the void for those wanting a high-top training shoe with a zero-drop construction and a more "minimalist" feel.
However, the width of this shoe's toe box is a major knock on its performance and I think it will make this model limiting for certain foot anatomies.

The best socks for mid or high top sneakers that are thin: Feetures High-Performance Ultra Light Quarter. My pair has lasted me 4 years. They're also the perfect height for Converse, PF Flyers and GoRuck (boots).

I really think that at least half of the complains about shoes being too narrow are ACTUALLY about the SHAPE of the Toebox. That's the reason why buying "wide" shoes still doesn't work.

Maybe, and that’s a good point! Last constructions vary a lot, sure, but your toes scream in this model due to them running snug af with their taper 😂

The social media marketing for them is a little misleading, imo.

@@thatfitfriend yes I have. They don’t grip as well and I loved the ankle support of the reeboks. I’m a men’s 10.5.

@@cv7607 Got it! Think a size 10 would fit you if you wore thinner socks? I have a second pair in good condition that I'll send you for free (not asking for anything). If you want em', hit me on IG (@jake_boly) and I'll send them out this week 🤝

so if i'm a 9.5 in regular shoes, should i size up or down the half size? pull ons and wellingtons i size down a half size. 10 is too much toe room in all shoes, but 9s are too tight in laced shoes. ok my fault i commented before the sizing section of the video. looks like size up

It really blows my mind how these multi billion companies like Nike and reebok are unable (or maybe un-WILLING, who knows?) to produce the best shoes on the entire market by listening to feedback from people like you who actually train in them and compare dozens of pairs. Also, how can a company discontinue a shoe like Nano X or Nano 6?! It's like as if Nike would just Discontinue The Air max 90 or the Air force 1 after 1 year? Nobody discontinues their flagship sneakers, so why do they do this with training shoes? I don't get it. If anyone of them up there actually used their brain they would make the metcon 8s toebox more anatomical, give it metal eyelets for the laces and reinforce the entire shoe with an additional layer of leather or synthetic material right where the Upper attaches to the shoe at the edge, also all of those shoes should be stitched to the sole like in the old days instead of glued. But it's all about these shoes hopefully breaking down after a year so the consumer has to buy another made in China product for 10 dollars more each year... Also Id really like to know whether all these fancy ocean plastic materials actually leech various chemicals into your skin when it's hot and you sweat a lot while training...

Feel you. I honestly think it has to do with the consumerism mindset of, "need the latest, greatest, more more more, etc." These companies build something great, then change and innovate just for the sake of doing so without much thought sometimes, it seems. I think it also had to do with companies not using proper athletes for the specific types of training/shoes they're building. Who knows, lol.
