I don't understand the "biting the tongue" part.. I seems very easy to say tk tk or du gu very fast, no problem. For me, it's all about getting the finger synchronized with the syllables. So I need the flute (or air flute? )

I am looking at purchasing either a Muramatsu or mateki flutes/ Love the Japanese hand-mades, leaning toward Muramatsu after demo playing one at the Florida Flute Festival in Orlando earlier this year. May I ask what sealed your decision for Muramatsu?

I had tried quite a few flutes in before I tried a Muramatsu and I fell in love with it. I must admit that I did not have an opportunity to try many instruments but I also got a recommendation from a very good teacher that this was a really good instrument in terms of value for money as well as instrument quality. I think the fact that even their gx models are largely handmade is incredible. Now I just really love the instrument and the possibility it gives for creating different colors of sound. I have managed to subsequently try many different instruments and I think I would still make the same decision :)
