What i think made this performance was the amount of bass this guy was able to produce. I have never experienced my clothing vibrating to each and every bass rhythm before, it was absolutely amazing.

Only if the crowd knew how iconic this song would become, they still did it justice though.

He is allowed to press play. Its the song he produced in the studio and has already put in all the hard work. now he just plays it to his fans and they love it.

People need to keep in mind he's only been touring for a year and is still evolving his set, you think Daft Punk came out with their pyramid after being on the scene for 1 year?

I was there and it was the best show I've ever seen. I've seen Radiohead, RHCP, Muse, Tame Impala, Tool and Flying Lotus live and his One Night Stand set was the best. You have no idea pal

Trying to explain this the best I can, there'd be a million different things he'd need to remember in terms of timing, automation of clips and samples etc. While yes, it is different from ,say, playing a guitar live, as your hands are doing a lot less. Though to try and make the translation, it'd be like playing guitar, while managing 20-30 effects pedals but doing it all at once. (this is where automation comes into live production). That's the best I can do at the moment.

Totally agree, I saw Flume live and there was no difference in the set he performed and his Boiler Room set and it was disappointing he should at least start DJing and mixing other songs in and getting a little more creative with it.

Could not agree more. I was ridiculously disappointed to see this. I don't like his stuff, but thought it would be interesting to see how he interprets it in a live environment. ... he doesn't. He just hits 'play'. There's no skill involved in this, people say "oooh he's doing more than you think!" .. no he's not. He's occasionally turning a volume dial and triggering a drum sample on his Launchpad. Ableton is an amazing tool capable of so much on-the-fly stuff which he doesn't use. Pathetic.

Freaking silly to be watching some geek play around with buttons and knobs. It takes ZERO talent to do. Bring on stage the guy rapping on the mix and keyboard players that actually PLAY the music and you have entertainment. But this???? Lmao!
