Floyd Mayweather answers Logan Paul claims, talks legacy, toughest opponent and relationships.
The night before Super Bowl Sunday and the Champ himself sits down with Channing, Fred and Ryan to talk about life's pivots and opens up about his journey of becoming who he is today.
Floyd attributes his success to making his dad proud and said one thing always at the forefront of his mind was to never let his father down.
In boxing and in life, having the right people around you is everything and being able to put trust in himself has allowed him to excel in all areas. Being a father and watching his children grow and evolve is his biggest worry because of how life is so different than it was and it's not the same as it was for him as it is for them.
Having many titles and accolades around the world, Floyd's most cherished name to go by today is "paw paw" and being a grandfather to KJ, the son of Iyanna Mayweather and rapper NBA Youngboy, is one of his greatest joys.
Describing his journey of working from the ground up, putting in his own blood, sweat and tears...Floyd's approach paved the way for other athletes and entertainers to be their own boss and always wanted to be on a different path as he transitioned from boxer to promoter to iconic businessman.
Quieting the accusations that the wealthy athlete owes Logan Paul money from their exhibition, Floyd explains that these types of claims come with the territory and that it's not money he personally owes to Logan but money that still comes in on the backend of PPV fights. He says that certain people should be appreciative of their biggest payday they had in life and be patient.
Ryan starts explaining his excitement with his row one flight accommodations as Floyd interrupts asking what A1 means and confused that boarding passes are now on phone admittingly saying it's been almost 10 years since he has flown commercial. When Channing asks how he moves about the world, Floyd says let me show you- he grabs his phone and calls his pilot who is on stand by and ready to fly on a moment's notice.
Chiming in on Floyd's infamous saying, having one is closer to having none, Ryan and Channing start digging in and ask about the women and at what point will Floyd be able to settle down and want to do "old man" stuff....the champ laughs it off and says what's for everybody else may not be for him.
Before closing out the show, Ryan asks Floyd who his toughest opponent in the ring was and as a surprise to some, Floyd answers long time rival Manny Pacquiao who he defeated 10-2 in the ring.
The Pivot Podcast releases new episodes every Tuesday at Noon eastern and special Pivot Moments on Fridays.

Floyd is a great dude! I worked at Circus Circus as a baggage handler for 17 years and he would come often and go to the Adventure Dome. He would come in 7 to 10 cars deep and would tip $100 for each vehicle in and out. Many rich celebrities would come through and not tip anything, Floyd gave it proudly! Much respect

I was in Hard Rock Dominican republic and saw Floyd. It was before the Pacquiao fight. I told him I was from Grand Rapids then asked him for a picture and he stopped and took two pictures with me. It was unforgettable to be in the middle of all his security and standing next to him shaking his hand taking pictures. When the biggest athlete in the world stops what he's doing and takes a picture with a fan.. that is a class act. Thanks for that moment Floyd!

@@kevinstewart8054 nah people like you see negativity in everything. When understanding what works or what doesn't there are different ways to assess that. One is compare and contrast. All he did was say there's something about how these brothers are moving that get certain people to come speak. He didnt specify anyone. He didnt call out I am athlete. And if you were paying attention 2 of these people were there. So they could've used their relationship to get him on there. Why didnt that happen. Didnt you hear Fred say trust and they took the high road. So if you want to reach reach right there and stop being the CREATOR OF THE NEGATIVITY BUT BLAMING SOMEONE ELSE. YOUR PERCEPTION ISN'T SOMEONE ELSE'S REALITY. you assumed you knew what was meant instead of engaging in dialogue. You might be more of a problem

@Matt C I truly understand what you mean. I can't argue that. But i do have too point out that this America has always been based off of money the love of money In power and control. And Floyd Was raised in a time where if you don't have money you don't have nothing and you're nobody. It's been a long saying about people's Character. It goes when a person gets a lot of money is when there true character starts to show who they really are. That is why you see rich people who have a lot of money compared to the people who doesn't the rich people usually treat the poor people like shit because they feel they have money gives them the power To treat you as less than.

@Matt C No problem. Just glad i could help u understand the difference in people behavior when it comes too people with money. Money will bring out two types of Of character traits, That will be the ( Big Egos ) or the( Big Evil Asshole ) with Floyd big ego. I'm a Retired professional boxer myself from Gary Indiana and friend of Angel Manfredy who fought Floyd Mayweather and he earned over a million dollars for that fight, I watched his egro grow so big that most of us did not want to hang around him sometimes..I seen how he blow a million dollars in 6 months buying all types of cars jewelry a couple of houses and mostly just partying And buying at the club With security. He kind of lost his mind once all the money was gone and the hanger ons people.. but now hes found Christ and as humble as can be.

Lotta people don't understand the importance of that love and baseline and it's priceless. See how your wealth gets eaten alive through taxation, rent, fake friends, failed relationships aka bad time investments etc. It's sooo critical, I wish more American households would love their children more and not spare the discipline but lead constantly.

I truly appreciated the questions. Each person brings a different dynamic to the interview always love it. I also admired how Mr. Fred asked questions that were truly thought provoking, his questions allowed us to see Mr. Mayweather as a human. These questions provide a pathway for many people's narratives or perconcieved bias to pivot (see what I did there) . We were able to see the human side of him. It allowed him to express how he felt about many things. When he spoke about people not considering his human side but only seeing his professional identity looking pass him to get what they want a pic or a video. I like that he said that. The most humble part was that Mr. Fred give him the fans perspective. The provide revelation that brought Mr. Mayweather to a humbling apology. That was so great to see becasue he had not seen it from that perspective sheesh that was awesome. I wholeheartedly respect how he felt though. Thank you all I really am proud to see these conversation its so great to see the guests you all bring on in a different light it's appreciated. Floyd learned early on what position he was in to build connections and to build his business life. Something Tyson said about being heavyweight champion and the kind of things that can come with it, was that he's had dinner with kings. And that wasn't hyperbole for the sake of making a point. As flashy as Floyd admitted he likes to be, he's really been super quiet and low key about all the other things he's down with his business life. And maintaining that contrast is worthy of a ton of props to him. And that leads to people to be quick to jump on him being broke when they see him posting a photo of jewelry. Because all they think is that his money comes from what he gets from his fights. The thought of him being involved in real estate to the point of building skyscrapers instead of flipping houses, and having associates in Japan and across the world, doesn't even cross their minds. Reaching the top of the fight game allows you build some powerful connections. And Floyd has done very well with that.

@@hereticlife2546 I mean you have to be pretty damn Macho & tough to stand in a ring and fight another man in front of millions. People like you hate him because he doesn’t charge in or stand toe toe swinging away like many great brawlers but an underrated aspect of his abilities was that he’d stand directly in front of his opponents and use his reflexes, footwork, and shoulder to block & evade punches while throwing hard counter shots. That’s not running by any means. In the latter half of his career he’s done that in damn near every fight and yet because he isn’t brawling with another fighter and potentially getting knocked out he’s boring. Lmao dude is a master boxer in the sport of boxing. You get everything with him, all his wars you guys so desperately crave for were in his early years before his hands broke down, knockouts through half his fights.

I really enjoyed this interview. It was so jarring seeing Floyd in a new light, and talk about things in a way I haven’t seen him do it. In a way, I get his primary drive: nothing is ever enough when you come from the bottom! I really hope his children can get half of his drive. And thank you Channing for always bringing the jokes and funny moments.

I've watched quite a few Mayweather interviews and he's never revealed as much as he did about his personal life like he did in this...kudos to The Pivot and the fellas for this

The Pivot is amazing..felt like i was sitting in the room with you guys. Everyone is good at making the guest feel comfortable too an no one acts like they own the show single-handedly.

Mannnnn, gotta say that the Pivot is killing the game. Their interviews are great as they allow the guest to tell their own story d only interjecting to advance the conversation. As for TBE aka 💰 May, people can hate but dude has a brilliant business mind and he has obviously grown up. I have watched him since the days of Pretty Boy Floyd and he has always maintained his mind, body and spirit - no drinking, no drugs, no smoking etc. He is on point when he says he gets hate from both sides - they hate b/c they’re envious. He is human and by no means perfect but he takes care of those in his corner. Great interview!!!

This podcast is legit. I have watched the DC ep., the Sean ep., the Dana ep., and now this one: all since discovering the pod the other day.
