I think a lot of people have it twisted, I feel khabib does want to fight Mayweather because he knows he can get a boat load of cash for losing and it wont matter because he is expected to. He isn't the type to talk trash and call people out so he was out of his comfort zone and a lot of people when they are out of their comfort zone they smile and laugh nervously and it's a clear indicator between a genuine laugh and smile and one that is just there because his English isn't good and he is trying to call Mayweather out which is not the type of person he is. Khabib is smart, he knows with this win over Conor his value went up and even if he makes only 50m that's more than he'll make in his next few fights in the UFC.

@Tauqeer Khan the octagon has multiple styles of fighting. Those guys train at striking or boxing. So using just their hands isn't foreign to them. You would be bat shit crazy to have trained all of your life at just punching and at 40 go fight the top guy and learn how to defend take downs, submissions and kicks!!! F.O.H and they both want to fight him in the ring because it's way more money. They can make more money boxing than they can doing MMA. Floyd not fighting for that chump change they make

You guys are new to fighting so I understand that you don't understand how this works, bandwagons really have a hard time since they are new to the fight world since it's gotten more mainstream, like hipsters. In combat sports there's a A side fighter and a B side fighter and the A side fighter usually chooses the weight class where gloves and a whole slew of other things because the challenger, B side fighter is wanting to fight him the A side could give a rats ass about wanting to fight anyone below him cause he's got his money and recognition. Mayweather made his name and money in boxing so if you wanna fight him you gotta go to his world that's how it works bud, he could give a f*ck about MMA fighters.

Professional boxing and MMA just don’t mix. MMA incorporates some boxing, but no decent professional boxer would be beaten by a UFC fighter on boxing terms, never mind mayweather. Money knows it’s easy $$$ that’s the only reason he is entertaining the thought. He wouldn’t risk his 50-0 for nothing unless he knows it’s a guaranteed win

Floyd, I don't think you understand, Khabib can't sell a fight. Floyd is going to be disappointed with all the work he is going to have do on this promotion to get the numbers he wants. I agree the fight doesn't make since on a craft level . I love both fighters . But Floyd wont be disappointed for Khabib not being able to sell a fight . For 1 . Coner copied Floyd's promoting style , Floyd only needs Floyd to promote his fights . Many times his opponents did no promotion or lash back even when Floyd was disrespectful the whole time . Coner was an anomaly for Floyd . He even said it was nice bc he finally didnt have to do much promotional work . However , I do not want to see them fight .

How can this fight be bigger than the McGregor one? That was a clash between two very famous larger-than-life characters at the top of their respective games. The only fame Khabib has outside of UFC is because of his clash with McGregor, he is not a charismatic figure like Conor.
