Men, especially ones with daughters, should educate themselves on the psychology involved in abusive relationships. Not getting involved because your daughter isn't mentally strong enough to completely remove herself from an abusive situation is crazy to me. So if he kills her, you just gonna shrug it off, like well it was her choice??!! Do your research on why women stay and go back. I feel like if a girl has a father who would just shrug off her struggles to remove herself from an abusive situation, is probably why she might stay with an abusive man. Seems the father-daughter bond might be severely lacking. First of all, Cassie and Diddy had an extreme uneven power dynamic involving status, money, and age. I would hope that any women's father would stay involved if their daughter was being trafficked, raped, and sadistically abused, no matter how long. People's extreme insensitivity to domestic abuse dynamics is really problematic. A predatory malignant narcissist would purposely prey upon a man's daughter he heard say this, because he knows she doesn't have a strong support system and it makes her an easier target. I know people may not realize, but most abusive people target people just to abuse them.

From drugs, to alcohol addiction, to abuse, etc. Yes….theres a psychological component to everything, emotional states sometimes matters also, but to do better and remove ourselves from situations will always start with us. People need to stop this wanting to side step accountability mess. SMH!

I agree but I read your comment without knowing if you're male or female initially but came to realize you were female able to speak openly the very clear position as you did. Sad part of society now is men can't openly say what you said without being accused of being chauvinistic or anti women. So that's part of the reason men don't participate in these situations as you described. It's a lose-lose from most point of view as a man.

My sister had a dude, he whooped her ass. I was like 13. We went to dudes house with my cousins, my cousins touched him up. My sister was back with dude literally that same night and had 2 more kids with him on top of my niece that was already born. My ace boons cousin got touched up by her dude, her brother went and murked bro, the sister testified in court against her brother, Her brother got life. Although it sounds crazy because FM didn’t clearly separate the abuse from her decision to stay with the dude, it sounds like he’s saying it’s her choice to be abused, in reality I believe he is saying it’s her choice to stay with the dude and endure the abuse. Based on life experience, I absolutely understand what FM is saying. However, I wouldn’t be associated with anyone accused of what Sean Combs has been accused of.

Lots of Domestic Violence victims are essentially brainwashed, and it often takes them MANY times to undo their flawed reasoning to leave before they succeed. There are literally studies comparing their behaviors to people who are sucked into cults etc. Additionally, Cassie's situation was different she did not "choose" to stay, she left many times and Diddy always had people stalking her and tracking her location pressing her to come back plus she had little money and Diddy was always threatening her. All this was in the court filing. Sorry that happened to your brother btw!

@@Scantronacon I have never hit my daughter, either one. I never want to give the impression that’s it’s ok for them to be hit by a man. I also teach them that it’s never ok to challenge a man physically. I explain if people feel like they have to hit each other, they aren’t for each other. There is a certain level of respect that should be given both ways. As fathers of daughters, all we can do is try to educate them and teach them the best way we know how and feel confident that we taught them well enough to not accept abuse. It is a tough situation, but as men we have to have emotional intelligence. An emotional outburst, that split second of lapse in judgement can bring a lifetime of imprisonment on so many levels.

I mean besides him getting sued by Cassie at the courthouse because he’s a celebrity and everything he does will be magnified, I kinda thought the same as floyd..I was like why do we care if diddy was sleeping with men and women behind closed doors? What’s the difference between that and being bisexual? Who cares? None of these people I’m thinking that were a victim in the Diddy scandal, were not being held at gunpoint, they allowed it and kept messing with him, so it was their choice

I road for my niece once for alleged abuse and my big brother (not her dad) said no let it be. I ignore him, go and get there her ex is gone. 2 months later, I come back on town for a family thing he’s there. I threw up my hands when I got around my siblings and said never again. That situation could’ve ended badly just for her to go back. My lesson was to get the facts first and make it a point of emphasis to my family to only call me when you are completely done

I disagree with him but I can't be too upset with his perspective at the end of the day. He's been rich and a star for about 25 years. He's likely knows more than most what some women will willingly do for money. The things that Diddy used to abuse Cassie, Floyd have seen women do with a smile on their face. And from the outside it's impossible to know who's doing something nefarious and who is just a little freaky. Diddy and Cassie was in the public eye for a decade and people didn't suspect a thing. The monsters are very good at hiding.

It was her choice to stay with him she's an adult responsible for her own decisions. The only way shes a victim is if shes a child. Diddy innocent.

If you have an abuse victim living in your house you have to also prepare for the consequences depending their partner.

It appears in many cases the Abusee has to apease the Abuser. That's why I told my wife don't talk down to my son's neither I down talk my daughters my father taught me that. By dpesking that way it breaks a certain Psyche that may allow some fool the entrance to abuse your Child.
