Flowers that Heal Us - Plant Communication & Flower Essences | Gudrun Penselin | TEDxWilmingtonWomen

NOTE FROM TED: While some viewers might find advice provided in this talk to be helpful as a complementary approach, please do not look to this talk for medical advice. We've flagged this talk, which was filmed at a TEDx event, because it appears to fall outside TEDx's curatorial guidelines. This talk only represents the speaker’s personal understanding of and experiences with the medicinal effects of particular plant essences. TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/t...
Plants not only communicate with each other but also their environment including us, as human beings. This exciting talk explores the possibility of how plants and flowers can support us in healing our emotions, a pre-requisite for overcoming many of our physical challenges.

I was never big on gardening because my parents had a big vegetable garden and made me help regularly. Later in life people were always giving me plants, (no idea why, because I don't like plants), so to be kind I had to learn to take care of them. So now caring for them gives me real pleasure! I'm going to rent a little summer cottage this year with a small garden and I will be gardening for the whole summer!

BACH flower essences were very helpful to me for depression with cancer. Hospitals, clinics, or healing centers in the future will have sun rooms where patients may sit with flowers and herbs growing there. People will sit in the sun and bathe or read. I make my own flower oils and use them when I perform jin shin on myself and for meditation. Much better results with this.

Why does TED has its guidelines dictated by private interest that is depriving us from the God given wealth of plants to benefit from? Healers were banned, now plant healing? Unexpectedly, like Covid that appeared, “something” will happen and lies will be seen for what they are. Blessıngs Ms. Pendelin, you are amazing and refreshing like the morning dew on colorful petals. We need people like you. Thank you.

I read an article recently about how a very popular flower in China has evolved so that it is harder for Human's to locate and pick them... which is a reminder for me to have respect and understanding for these beautiful little ground beings - like everything else on this planet they need a very fragile eco system to survive and if we do not nurture that eco system we will lose all that makes us well.
