This was incredibly well done- (I recognized Damon's voice in there talking to Elena lol ;-))- let's hope Lifetime does a better job of it than the 1987 movie did, which watered it down so much, I almost didn't recognize the story...

OH! This is perfect! Why don't they let the fans do casting!? And something like this would keep true the the book! Okay, back in the '80's the original manuscript may have been too much...but now come on! Great job!

I will tell you what I read this book iam a huge fan of v.c Andrews . I could have punched that mother and grandmother in the face for how they treated them children I guess that is how powerful this story was and still is . first book i have wanted to read again and again . you did nice job . i have always thought the novels was better than the movies .you did a nice job on this

I recommended this movie 100% it's between creepy and romantic. There is a little incest scratch that a lot but it doesn't matter it's really just a sad story about kids or get abused.

So when does this one come out?. Many , many years ago i read the series of these book . Always wished it was made into a movie , and then...it was. It chopped up the entire storyline. I recall the books as having a dark gothic tone to it.

I watched a 2014 version and it sucked , the 1987 it the best,usually originals are always better than the remakes, in the new version the kids were more annoying and you can't pity them, the older brother n sister are having sex which makes it even harder to feel sorry for them ,the mother is not that bad like in the first movie ,and not that loving from the beginning ,so it leaves the impression that she doesn't love them that much to begin with,they're not so connected with her, and the grandma is older and not that creepy and wicket ,she's also talking to them more and kinda cares about them ,other thing is the mother didn't die in the end and also the whole time they were saying everything straight ,that they starved for a week ,that they are making garden in the attic,ect. Also they loved the attic in the first movie ,it was their special place and in the remake they hated it! They were too spoiled. And the action was happening so fast that you couldn't even get in the mood ,they didn't introduce the atmosphere that well.

Did you read the book because if you did you would know that the 2014 flowers in the attic movie came way closer to the book then the 1987 movie lifetime did a fabulous job with the dollanganger family series all 4 movies stuck true to the book a majority of people who read the book thought the 1987 movie sucked they were quite disappointed they were supposed to do a sequel but it fell out of development the reason why the 1987 movie was so popular is because people who didn't read the book made it so ask anyone who read the book and they will tell you the 2014 one is way closer to the book the 1987 movie. I was only 2 years old when the 1987 movie came out I didn't know the movie was based off of a book until I reach high school and found it in the school library and when I read it I looked at the movie again and saw that they added so many filters to the point where the movie did the book absolutely no justice and this is a response coming from someone who love that movie growing up I can tell by your comment you have not read the books cause if you did you would know that Cathy and Chris were having sex and there mother didn't die in flowers in the attic, she die in if there be thorns.

Jen Holt you Gotta read garden of shadows it's the prequel to the entire series and it goes into the history of the grandmother when she was just a very young woman she was a victim of Foxworth Hall as well and explains as to why she acted the way she did.

Umm have you read the book? In the book they have sex to in the book it's way more graphic then either of the movies. The 2014 version came WAY closer to the book itself.
