I've made cellophane wings before, and they were so fragile and hard to work with especially with the heat gun trying not to ruin them, so I wanted to look into sheer fabric wings to make for my wedding this month. And this is just gorgeous! I'm using this as inspiration, even tho mine will be quite different in style. Thank you for all these ideas and techniques! Blessed be dear!

I love these wings, just beautiful! I'm creating a pair of wings for my daughter to wear to the Renaissance Faire and this gave me so many great ideas. Thank you. My daughter is going to be a Woodland Fairy, so we will be using more leaves etc. But I wasn't sure how to construct the base so it would sit on her back. This video helped me a ton. Thank you again, looking forward to more great tutorials!

Mine are based more on Will-o’-the -wisps. Nighttime faeries, sprites, also called ghost lights! So my paintings aren’t brightly colored but more like how we see colors at night- faded. Except the faeries are the nightlight! So they illuminate the area just a little. I absolutely love your wings! The flowers are such a lovely touch!! 😍

I got my organza from Ebay, and was quite cheap considering I could make a few pairs of wings - was $20aud for 10 metres. The antennae design was based on Brian Froud's sketches which has them as almost part of the wings which I love. So I made them the same colour and design. I was pretty happy with the result, but honestly was unsure at one stage how well they would come out. But I got a lot of compliments at the mythical markets :)

Oh what a shame! But you never know until you try. My hot glue isn't heat controlled - it's a cheapy from Ebay. It worked fine for me and in the tutorial I mention using the glue on top of organza because it was thin enough for glue to go through. If it's not just do a bit at a time so the glue doesn't set before you can stick down the organza

There's a fabric that is super floaty. It seems to hang in the air. I believe they make it in Japan. I want to make a set of fairey wings out of that. The only problem is it costs $100 a yard. 😳

Your wings are stunning but the music overlay drowned you out and was horribly distracting. It was like having the radio playing while watching tv. 🤯
