Flower Day! How to Quickly Make Dahlia Mason Jar Arrangements // Coast to Coast Home and Garden 🌸🤗

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

It's that time again, free flower day! Every year we give away tons of bouquets to friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, nurses, and retirement homes and today is no different. We filled a bunch of buckets of flowers and made mason jar arrangements to give to complete strangers in our city. I hope this inspires you to go out and give flowers to someone you've never met. ❤️

Hi Claudia, Assembly Line! Retired florist here. We always had an assembly line at the holidays or weddings/parties. BTW, just a thought.. Lemon grass would be a great greens that would not take up a lot of space. I have Liriope in my garden as a border and it expands. I could make a hundred vases and use it as filler. As always, you are a Treasure and Blessing to your community 👩‍🌾👍🙏

Thank you for sharing this idea, Claudia. In 2020 I started delivering bouquets from my small cut flower garden to nursing home residents who were in lockdown. They are so grateful. I am always looking for space in my yard to grow more. Your dahlias are stunning!

What a nice idea from your part! I did that for 1 year last year. Than I thought. I can sale my flowers instead give it away . I did it. I left a table and bouquets and a jar for money in my entrance. Every Saturday and Sunday. I sold $490. So that's enough for buy seeds or more dahlias tubers. Try it. Works

Bertha I love that idea! We have talked about selling bouquets subscription based but I haven’t decided yet. I think that’s a great way to continue to fuel your love for growing and making some money back so you grow more. 💖

When you say you cut and processed. What do you mean by processed? Like stripping them and cutting them or actually hot water dipping them ??

Nikki that’s a great question. When I said processing them, I meant stripping the them of their lower leaves and cutting them to size and setting them in a clean bucket of water. If I didn’t arrange them right away, I would have put holding solution to in the water to preserve them even further. For these flowers I don’t ever dip in for water, there’s only a handful of flowers that I do that too. 🥰
