This is not what I expected rolling into Arizona and finding flow in the harsh desert near Mesa .I had heard about the Haws trail system but this was my first time riding it. I was lucky enough to be towed in by a local. Jeff from the youtube channel The Middle Aged Masher. Thanks Jeff for taking the time to ride with me and showing me this new flow trail. Like any flow trail you can expect a climb. this was no different. about 1000 ft vertical, pretty mellow in general with a few switch backs to help out on the steep parts. The dirt was like kitty liter so be ready for some loose but fast conditions. The trail is rated black but flows more like a blue trail. it was not difficult at all.

Machine built trail following the Upper Ridgeline for the first half of the trail. Then a series of switchbacks drops you down the lower flanks before joining L'Alpe d'Huez trail.

I like your new knee pads. I almost rode that trail a couple of years ago when we were visiting my nephew in Mesa, but didn’t get to it; I regret it now after watching your video. I’ve gotta make sure I hit it next time I’m there!

Knee pads for Christmas .. pretty comfy and they work . And yes you need to ride this trail .. your ebike would fly up the climb

I wish I had an answer for you, maybe ping Jeff at the middle-aged Masher.. I didn’t really pay attention I just followed Jeff to the trail head. Good luck thanks for watching

Both good , but I must say I prefer St George . Seems more grip to them .
