I had to watch you again! I loved seeing all of your Wips. You have so many nice ones. I completed the Snowman with the birds, and it will turn out lovely. My favorites that you are doing are, Pretty in Pink, and Winter Cabin. But all of them were beautiful. I can't wait to see them finished.

thanks for the tip on adding fabric to the Mill Hill pieces. Not being able to get those into a format that I can put them on my floor frame keeps me from doing them, but fabric plus a qsnap would get me there! It was a wonderful WIP parade with lots of projects that you don't see just everywhere. If I had to vote on a 'do it next' project, I'd do the "four seasons birds" - with just one and a half yet to do, it wouldn't be all that much to finish and I LOVE the 'twig' border on that one!

All of your WIPS are so beautiful. I don't know which one I would pick to finish first. You are so close to finishing a couple of those smaller ones though. The tape around the edges brings back memories, but I still use fray check. Lol. I can't wait to go back and watch some videos I missed

Hello my name is Mary Ann I live in South Jersey I'm new at cross stitch I just came back from route 66 we did the Albuquerque balloon fest and I bought the balloon cross stitch and I can't wait to start stitching on it I bought a kit Yoda the floss is not DMC I've started it I've got about 16 stitches into it I won't give up I have quite a collection of dementia I also quilt and I work full time at Walmart I've been there 20 years today thank you for sharing I am enjoying your whipped parade thank you so much

Where do I even start? 🤣 That Blue Jay one you have that's out of a magazine I know I have as well! If you ever get back to working on that I could be persuaded to start it to stitch along with you... 🤭 Isn't it funny how we pull out things we haven't worked on and go 'oh I really wanna stitch on that' ? I did that too with my video I think. It's all thanks to you that I think my taste is changing in what I find attractive and what I don't. You have such amazing and beautiful pieces. Thank you! I will definitely let you know when I get back to those blue jays, but I'm a little Blue-Jay'd out at the moment, lol! I think as stitchers we can look back at our finishes and wips, and can see different changes in taste as we enter different phases of our lives or popular trends that come and go. It's like layers of the earth or a scrapbook of our lives! Four Seasons Birds really needs to see some progress for sure and tell the boyfriend he WILL see the Eagles fly again! :)

Really wonderful WIP parade and so many lovely kits I'd love to stitch! One of the reasons I love your channel is because you stitch a variety of things, not JUST samplers like so many other Flosstubers seem to do! As for what you should focus on, I'm a sucker for any and all Lanarte and Dimensions, so I'm no help buuttt.... Sweetheart Gate!

Thank you! AH! Sweetheart's gate will definitely get some attention this year. It's so beautiful! I'm glad you enjoy the variety of my wips. I tend to go through phases with my stitching styles. Sometimes I like to jump on the bandwagon and stitch the latest trend and sometimes I just go rogue. I seem to always go back to kits. Dimensions and Mill Hill kits are my drug of choice, lol!

I enjoyed your wip parade. I finished the Dimensions Birdhouse pattern years ago and recently realized I never added the backstitch hanging wire for the red birdhouse. My intention was to take it our of the frame and add some "wire". Thank you for showing yours because I screen shot the image and now I can add the back stitch correctly. I would have done it wrong (was gonna add a single wire to the weathervane on top, but dah that would have looked stupid) Thank you again, its really been bugging me every time I look at it. Kim

I loved your WIP parade. You remind me of me! I don’t have that many kits but I sure do have the projects! Lol. I think we’re all like that - working on something and then we see something else and we’re off! There just aren’t enough hours in the stitching day! I do think you should finish that beautiful eagle- then do something with bright colors so you won’t burn out on the browns. You’re a wonderful stitcher and I can’t wait to see them all finished!

Maybe you could start writing down the date that you start these things somewhere on the pattern so that it’s all together and you have a record of it. Everything looks beautiful.

Thank you! That is a brilliant idea and SO simple! I hate keeping a journal so I usually try to document my starts by taking a picture and posting it online. But, of course that doesn't help when I do a wip parade because I need to go track down all the start dates! You have inspired me to go track them down and stick a note in each project bag for quick reference!

I always love seeing your projects, and who doesn't love a good WIP parade! It was good to see that someone else struggles with the multiple strand stitching on Dimensions, and also reassuring that changing the strand number works out well. I've decided to restart one of my projects and bring all the background down to two strands because like you, I found it too painful to stitch with 5 strands.

Love the WIP parade! I guess I have been watching you for a while now! This was like a trip down “Memory Lane”! 😆 You made me think about my own old WIP’s and gave me some motivation to dig deep into the back of my own pile! I guess I still love those Marjolein Bastin pieces! She is quite the artist! Of course, I can see why the Dimension Gold collections also give you a run for the money too! Just keep stitching away….you’ll be done before you know it!

That tape idea sure was easy. I hate doing the edge stitching but it's nice to avoid the sticky residue left behind ( especially when it's on there for years! lol!

You have so many beautiful wips! You really do need to finish that eagle, it's gorgeous. I also have a ton of wips, many in boxes that I haven't looked in for a long time. I'm like you as far as I stitch on whatever is calling to me, so scheduled projects on certain days usually doesn't work for me. There were several that you saw and said you really want to work on that one now. I'm curious which one, if any, you worked on after filming. 😁 I would LOVE to see stash dive videos of your not yet started kits and charts!

As tempting as it was, I was very good and and stuck to this month's focus piece and stitched on my Horses after filming :) I actually really feel like working on the Eagle because everyone is cheering me on for a finish! I'll try to do a stash dive at some point for sure. Happy Stitching! (I think you really need to dig out you old wip box and go through them. It's so fun!)

I really should take you up on the offer Brittany! I think it was in 2019, that Sarah, Stitchin Mommy and I made a similar challenge with my Eagle because she had an ancient wip as well. By the end of the year, she finished hers and...well...i didn't, lol! I'm willing to give it the ole college try, though. At the very least I will dedicate a whole month to it. You can totally get Napping Kitten done. I believe in you!! :)

I love the Dimensions Gold ones. Both the horses and the winter cabin are my favourites. I have to stitch them and get them on my walls!

Love your wip parade. I also shared a love for dimensions kits. I have more collected than stitched but no shame here. Once in awhile I take out my kits and just look at them and it makes me happy. My philosophy is if it makes you happy and you can afford it, buy it. :)

This is has been one of the best w.i.p. parades I’ve watched. I would like to see the flamingo as a finish. Pink is my favorite color! However, that Eagle!! That one will be so fantastic finished and hanging up on a wall. I wonder sometimes if we don’t finish things when we are so close to the end because it’s like you are saying goodbye to a friend or like how you enjoy a good book and hate to see it end.

Thank you!!! Wow, what a nice cominent! 😊😊. I think you might be on to something with your idea of not wanting to say goodbye to a wip. Like a good story you just don't want to end. I have actually felt kinda sad with some of my finishes for that very reason. Now you have me feeling nostalgic about my wips 😊💕

This was my first time watching and I just love your presentation and stitching style! So glad I found your channel to add to my viewing list. (Oh, and I completely agree about Fiddlers Cloth--- almost everything looks good on it!)

Loved your wip video. I am a new subscriber who has a LOT of kits and patterns to do however I have not gotten my rhythm to start. I believe I have decided on my starting pattern - Dimensions, Chickadees and Lilacs. Hopefully this weekend I will at least get it ready for stitching. I used to stitch many years ago and got away from it - it was the masking taped edge era :-) What do you do now for your edging while stitching? Thank you for sharing all of your projects. I will look back on your previous videos also.

Welcome to my channel! I really hope you get a start this weekend on your kit! It's a beautiful one 💕. Instead of masking tape, I run a zigzag stitch along the edge with my sewing machine. If you have a serger, that's even better!

i love all your projects i think my wish list has just gone up again after seeing your WIP'S i love the crochet afghan on the couch behind you did you crochet it. i think i remember you saying that you used to crochet the colours go so well together.

Really enjoyed your video! Lots of lovely whips. I thought your idea of picking ones that are closer to a finish, making it a focus piece for a month would really pare down your whip pule. The dilemma is which one to start with.😂. I love all your Marjolin Bastin projects.

All your wips are beautiful, it’s hard to choose a favorite. I have been stitching since mid 80’s and just got my first DIMENSIONS kit, I am so confused by it I’ve never seen such instructions.

Congrats on your first Dimensions kit! Which one? They can take a bit of deciphering of the instructions, but once you get used to the way they do things, you will get the hang of it. Just take it one step at a time and make sure you pay attention to 1. What color to use and is it a blend 2. how many strands are called for 3. Is it a full cross stitch a half cross stitch Then you've got it!

I would love to do blue jays birdhouse, if not too much work let me know which magazine. I’m a big bird lover along with garden scenes and tend to stitch those type. I’m admiring you bird pillows as well . I love the bird scene that was made into a kit from your picture and am going to try and find the kit/pattern.

Thank you! I'm a huge bird fanatic myself! The Robin pattern is called 'And Then Comes Spring' by Crossed Wing Collection and the Blue Jay pattern is from Just Cross Stitch Feb 2015 by Donna Giampa 😊

What do you do with all your finished pieces? I’m just starting to get into cross stitch and I’m not sure what to do with them all when they are done. I also need to get some project bags. You mentioned you made yours, that’s not a talent I have! Haha

Sadly, I haven't framed too many of those old finishes :( I have been rotating the finished Mill Hill kits, though. They are easy to pop in and out of the frame as the seasons change. If only it were that easy with my bigger projects!

I am wondering about the price for the kits. Over here they are really expensive. About €30 to €50. I am using a lot of really old ones from the thrift shop, but the only ones I have found are tablecloth’s.

I'm sorry you have to pay so much for the kits. Have you tried looking on Ebay? If you check often, you can find some good deals, but kits can be pretty high on there also. I wish I could be of more help!

Great video. I really liked the pattern that was made from your picture by Cross Winged Collection. The fabric is beautiful and suits it perfectly. When I saw the Valentine Heart, I went to buy it. LOL Looking forward to watching your other videos.
