Do not ever apologize for expressing your love for your family!! You are amazing and so kind to share your stitching, knitting and family with us. I enjoy your updates and hope you don’t let anyones negative comments bother you :) You have a fabulous group of stitchy sisters (your girlies) :) Don’t let the negative nellies get to you. Stay true to who you are, we all love you.

Thank you so much! I am so lucky that this community is full of amazing kind people. The good outweighs the negative 1000% times over. I just wasn’t going to let talking about my kids in any negative way slide. It’s so easy to just watch someone else. We all have free will to exit out of a KZread video. I am not forcing anyone to stay lol! 💖

One of the reasons I continue to watch your videos is to experience your consistent positivity and joy. Expressing how much you value your family cannot possibly be a bad thing. Kudos to you for standing up to that commenter with a mature assertive reply. Sometimes we do need to call out unacceptable behaviour online, rather than just ignore it. On a different note, thanks for showing the video of your fabric dyeing. I would like to dye my own fabric but find it intimidating, and your little video made it look possible!😃.

Thank you for understanding. Typically the comments just get deleted 😆. I don’t want anyone who secretly hates that I love my kids to stick around. That kind of behavior seems crazyyyyy 😅. Hope you have a nice fourth and happy stitching. 💖

Thanks for sharing all you do with this community! I especially appreciate your kit reviews - it's so good to hear first hand from someone about how they feel, are packaged, etc. I'm glad you're able to transition back to work in a part-time capacity ☀ Have a great time with your kiddos and happy stitching 💜

Your love for your daughter and your family as a whole is part of what I love about watching you. Your kids are lucky to have a mom who cares and loves them so very much. Not to mention that Amira is a cutie pie and deserves all the positivity you can provide. Too many parents don't pay attention or show that affection, you keep doing you (as I know you will) and so many of us will keep watching and appreciating everything you share. Happy Stitching -Kimberly

Hello, Gorgeous! Thank you for posting a video today, a visit with you was just what I needed. ☺️ First of all, those smalls you’ve been finishing are just too precious! And I just love your color conversions on them (you have a great eye). I am in awe of your kits, too, because they are so beautiful, but I would be totally daunted by the full coverage and blended stitches 😮😂. (I’m really just too lazy)! 🤣 You’re making great progress on them. Continue to enjoy your happy summer with family, my friend, and I’m happy that your work schedule will be part time…that works great! Until next time…💙 Meline Oh! It's funny that you happen to give us a dying tutorial on aida as I spent a part of my day looking up just that. So thank you. By the way, you mention that your husband saves the big yogourt containers. So do I but I just found a place the next town over that makes up soups and meals for those in need and they had asked for large yogourt containers. I was so happy to have a big bag of them to take there and now I'm starting up a new bag. Anyways, take good care and I hope your transition back to work goes smoothly.

When you use large paper charts, try and tape the back of the chart along the places you usually fold. That will prevent the chart coming apart after much folding. Don’t tape on the front as the highlighter will not “stick” to scotch tape and you’ll loose the mark up. As for other kit manufacturers, have you looked at Luca-S and Letistitch? They’re v good quality, in case you’re thinking of trying them.

I am horrified that someone would criticize your love for your daughter! I think it is beautiful to see how much you love your daughter and doing things with and for her! I always loved doing my girls hair and pretty clothes! There are a million floss tubes to watch so there is absolutely no reason to make negative comments except pure meanness…. So sad… As always I look forward to your next video!!!!! Happy stitching ❤!

For working with your acrylic wool- use a larger needle, maybe a 24. This will open up the hole to reduce the drag on the thread and the thread should cover up the widened hole 😊

I'm 52 and I'm wondering how old I'll be when you'll finish them all. 😂 I do love how you talk about the kits, your likes and dislikes about each one. I find it encouraging how you talk about your love for your family. It's good to hear that from a young mom. Definitely never apologise to that woman for the nasty comments she's the one that should be saying sorry. It would be great if people realised that folks who create are also real people and if you can't say anything nice don't say it at all and leave. I love your floss tube videos by the way and I would adore seeing a fabric dyeing video, I don't have a huge income right now and have been thinking how could I dye my own fabrics when I want something a little more fancy plus they are harder to find over here in the UK. What brand of dye do you use again? I'm wanting to look it up ☺ I sometimes buy the floss drop cards from DMC they have magnetic strip which is cool if you're wanting to thread up some needles before starting 🤗

When I have paper charts (for knitting or cross stitch) I make a working copy. I find that I feel much more comfortable making notes and taking the chart out of the house that way. I have no concerns about damage or wind taking the page and I can make notes or mark my repeats on the page also. I have occasionally enlarged a section also. You might want to do that and/or have a PDF made to enter the pattern in pattern keeper or whatever program you use for your cross stitch. I really love the colors in the lilac piece - that will be stunning when finished. I will be interested in watching your dyeing process. I would love to buy a large piece of Aida and cut it then dye different colors, depending on what I want to stitch. Your coordinating pieces with the golden look will look awesome together! They will be like soft candle or lantern light. 🕯️ I am so glad that you have this time to relax and enjoy your time with your children. Once you return to work there will be less time but you will still make time to enjoy them and you should. This time will never come again and needs to be appreciated. ❤

It’s the best discussion I’ve seen of it yet, and I’ve seen alot!😊 I live in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, which doesn’t have an LNS, and the price of shipping on top of the price of (certainly worth it!) beautiful professionally dyed fabric is too prohibitive right now, so hand-dyed Charles Craft from Michael’s it is!😏

I’m sorry someone was rude to you. When a person lashes out like that I always feel they must have a really bad life. Your subscribers/friends enjoy your videos and family updates. I am glad you are enjoying this season of your life with your young family. Have a great summer. I am off to look at some kits to stitch.😊

Would love to see a video on the dying of the fabrics! As for the Andriana kit - Ooof I would watch out with those as I've had some pretty bad experiences with their kits (part of me also thinks they might be in the business of copying from other designs because at the time I was researching them after I had so many issues with the kits I found some of the artwork under a couple of names). I stitched 3 kits of theirs and had issues with all of them; the pattern not matching up with the mockup (sudden blocks of supposed white stitches where the mock-up showed color), symbols appearing in the chart but not on the stitchguide, their threads being really skinny in some places and super thick in others, threads splitting mid-stitch... I hope for your sake they've improved/you don't have these issues :p

I did buy from a reputable site so I would be so surprised if artwork was taken 🤯. I also made sure to do a google lens view on the magic shop just because I was looking for a place that sold it in the states and the only brand that sells it was Adriana. I really hope the chart works out 😫😫. What a pain it’s so cute.

Wow the entryway picture is stunning. What specific product do you use to hole punch your floss cards? I see large circle hole punches at Michaels on Joann but they're so pricey. When you rinse your fabric after it's been in the dye, do you use hot or cold water?

Hello! I’ve had the hole punched for so long I’m not sure the brand I know I got them at Michael’s I think and they are white and orange. I used the 20% off a regular priced item coupon and just bought them over time instead of all at once. I love a coupon! Haha. I use hot water to rinse the fabric just to get out the extra dye.

Megan, I'm glad you addressed the negative, inappropriate comment. You shouldn't have to deal with that, particularly during your maternity leave. I laughed out loud when you said you're aware some have 'mommy issues'. Well. That'd be ME! Lots and lots and lots of ongoing mommy issues. In fact, just a week ago I had a two hour visit with my mother who was in town to see my sisters - yes you read that right. I haven't seen her in 20 years. All that being said, for ME, I love seeing healthy, loving mother/daughter relationships. I celebrate that!! Do I wish my experience were different? Of course I do. But I've never felt a thread of jealousy for others who have what I did not. It makes no sense to think ridiculing someone for openly loving their child is ever a good idea! I doubt that person has mommy issues so much as they are simply an ignorant, cruel person. Hope going back to work goes well for you! We know that will be a hectic time - take care of yourself. If you've said what type of work you do, I've missed that. Thanks for the video!

Ugh I can’t even imagine after all those years. I hope it wasn’t too hard on you to see her and that you’re doing okay mentally right now. Thats a lot! Mental health is so important. Thank you for being a good person who understands that I just love my kids! lol of course I do and I’ll never stop being proud of them and talking about them. There a reason I save it all to the very end so people that don’t care don’t have to listen 😂🫶🏻. Some people hate kids! Totally understand LOL they are crazy okay but that’s out future, these kiddos. I am a finance manager at a car dealership 🚗. It’s fun! Lots of numbers thank god for computers who do it all for me LOL.

I went and grabbed my punches and the main one to make the larger holes is 3/4 an inch. It’s pink and white and I am pretty sure I got in at Michael’s. I use the Fiskars brand hole punch to make the tag style and I have a standard handheld old school hole punch for the binder ring size hole.

I wake up at 4AM every day and that allows me to get the baby up and ready for the day and back down by 5. From 5-6 I can use my little vac-mop, change kitty litter, wipe down counters in the kitchen, use my small quieter vacuum on the rugs and start a load of laundry. I stitch till about 7 or 8 when Amira wakes up for the summer make her breakfast and that’s really when the day starts. Usually she wants to be outside so we go to the pool or hangout outside and I can have Malakai with me and randomly take moment to stitch through the day between dishes and lunch/ dinner. I bring stitching with me everywhere no matter where I go. The pool, park, car etc. Amira takes naps in the summer because she exhausts herself outside and so I get another hour or so then too. My husband puts her to bed and. reads her a story every night so I also have free time after she’s in bed. I just stay really on schedule hahaha 😂. I will be back at work in a week or so and I’ll bring stitching with me to work and stitch in my down time as well. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I always look forward to your videos. I’m on vacation and I still watched!! lol. As far as your unpleasant persons reply, I just finished a book called The Choice by Edith Eger. She is a holocaust survivor and the book was great. But one of the many things she said was “it’s not what people say that is horrible, it’s only horrible if you believe them” (paraphrasing) I’m sorry and totally do not understand how anyone could not like you and your videos, much less comment something less than joyful to you! I’m a fan! Xoxo

I love the idea of the strawberry moon SAL but I would like to take the idea a bit further. Do you know of any designers who have a set of monthly full moon designs? For instance January is the wolf full moon - does anyone have a set of full moon designs that include each month and it’s full moon? Thanks for any info you might have.
