I am an aida stitcher too and I love seeing your beautiful projects. I only stitch on one project at a time except for making four Christmas ornaments each year for my grands. Thanks for the video.

I love that making a flosstube helps you set aside a hard day. What a lovely card finish! I suspect I will be stitching those little birds before long. We have a Stratford that is a theatre town in Ontario Canada also and yes, there are swans in the river.

Your pieces are so beautiful, the cards especially. I always watch your flosstubes as soon as I can, since there is so much "eye candy". I am a fan of Arlene Cohen of Works by ABC, I agree her lace charts are so pretty. Her new 324 chart is also very lovely.

Those birds are so beautiful. Love your Swan. Love seeing your landscapes project. It is coming along so nicely. The Black & red piece is very unique. I only stitch on Aida Cloth & I am going to try 20-count Aida cloth for the first time in August when on stitch Summer Quaker for my birthday stitch. It will also be the first time that I stitch it 1 over 1 full cross. It is exciting but scary at the same time. Happy Stitching.

You can do it! 20 count is lovely to stitch on. I tend to stitch on 20 count for the more delicate stitches such as moon deer and I did my farben des wassers also on 20 count. Good luck! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Happy stitching

You have such a nice variety of projects, things I don't see on other flosstube videos. Your finishes are lovely, particularly the round cards - amazing. I also only stitch on aida fabric & mostly 14 count & I'm fine with it.

Such a lovely Swan. We spent a few days - our honeymoon in 1975! - in Stratford upon Avon so yes memories. I think the calendar months designs are delightful too. In fact Hanneke I do enjoy the different choices you make and their end results. I think my preference is evenweave as quarter/three quarter stitches are easier to make and I think the tighter weave looks more finished although I work on Aida and Linen too. I had to unpick Oscar as I kept miscounting a fancy border then realised I was supposed to do it in single strand so I think I'll run out by the time I do some inner designs. It's on 40ct linen so my progress is slow! Enjoy your times with family 😊

Thanks Jean. And I agree on evenweave being easier to use when stitching quarter of three quarter stitching. I did it on aida for the swan piece and it was a bit annoying :(. So sorry to hear you had to unpick your border... but I am sure it'll be beautiful when it is finished and all your work will have been worth it! Happy stitching!

Beautiful stitching and a lot of progress again, wow! The Swan is beautiful, and I love the poppies with landscape. I was surprised you don't mind not FFO-ing everything you stitch (me neither), because you've shown us such a variety of great finishes. I also did/do some cards, but you cards are real artwork. The flower "mandala" I'd probably stitch with variegated floss, if I would start it now, because those colour changes sound really tedious, even for cross stitching 😅, but it is super pretty. I'll have to give Magic Needle kits a go, I'm sure there'll be some retail therapy needed soon 😂 The fabrics you bought are super pretty. I hope you had a fun day with your sister. I am amazed how fast that Leonid Afrimov goes, I did not expect to see so much progress on it when you started it. Congratulations on your finishes, those colourful birds are beautiful and joyful finished like this, but I can imagine how much work went into it. I love the red French squares, they turn out much better than the cover photo of the project. I also love the poppies in the field and that calendar project, but than again I do appreciate your choices, we have similar taste in cross stitching. I only have one question : on the Moon Deer I understood you are using a 20 ct fabric, how many threads are you using? The Oscar floss made me smile, when I heard its name I thought it would be a golden one. Happy stitching and enjoy the time spent with your family!

And I agree on the French project, I am also positively surprised about how that one is turning out. It is becoming a favourite! I stitch Moon Dee on 20 count with 1 thread of weeks Dye works floss. Leuke patronen, ik vind het geweldig om met Au ver a soie 100.3 te werken met 2 draadjes op 18ct/36ct. De zijde draad van de Au ver a soie 100.3 is "strakker" dan katoen of de au ver a soie d'Alger. Ik kan het aanraden. Beschikbaar bei zowel de handwerkboetiek als Soed idee, of op de website van historische stickmuster. De draad glijs zo lekker door de stof heen. Alle nieuwe dingen die ik begin ga ik borduren met 100.3

I think i like houses because I grew up poor and always wanted a pretty house, so I like to stitch them. I do have a beautiful house now, thanks to God. I love your stitching and I love all the bright colors, thank you for sharing. Do you use one strand or two on twenty count? I love aida too, it is easy on my eyes.

I love the finish for the Durene Jones bird patterns! I don’t have a big shot machine but I do have a cricut. I think I can do a similar finish using my cricut to cut the circles and the flower pieces. I also have a question. It kind of looks like you stitched the circles together but I think you said you used glue to put it all together. Can you confirm that? Thanks!

Thank you so much. I am sure a cricut machine could achieve a similar result. I used glue and the die cut I used is called stitched circles. So the die cut presses the motif in it so it looks like it is stitched. Happy stitching/crafting!
