@@TheRayOfBlue I'm just glad we threw the ball down field. We wouldn't have done that last year or earlier in the season. Against South Carolina, you have to throw the ball on their DBs. I'm a big analytics guy and it drove me insane when we would consistently run into 9 man boxes over and over again.

He really should be a Heisman candidate. He's great. It's annoying how the heisman has become a default QB award and for only a top 10 team. Your team losing 1 or 2 games shouldn't disqualify you from an individual award.

you guys definitely a fun fan base to troll. Florida and Miami. Granted you guys are alot better than them. USC (the real one in Cali), Oregon, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas all fun teams to troll as well. Combination of these teams passionate fans knee jerk reactions and overexpectations in most seasons. That said I started the year trolling Florida for Utah but I knew you guys would beat overrated Tenn. HOPING BADLY you can be the ones to humble Georgia arrogant fans as they are still good but not the unbeatable obvious #1 team they were the last couple seasons. If you guys can't do we have to hope for SEC champ or playoffs because their schedule so weak this year. I really think Florida can do it though.

He takes care of the ball, completes a high percentage of his passes, and showed in this game that he can play clutch football. I'm excited for him to return next season.

He’s a really consistent QB but he’s just gotta work on his arm strength. He consistently under throws on deep shots. Even though I don’t know if he’ll have a shot at the NFL, he seems to be the type of consistent player that NFL teams look for in a backup QB.

you can't believe it? Mertz was one of the most volatile QBs in CFB at Wisconsin. he was the weak spot in an otherwise solid offense. and unfortunately, unless he is granted a sixth year, he's gone next season. DJ Lagway will likely be the guy for FL next year.

@@nathan.d.c He wasn't the weak spot at Wisconsin. Paul Chryst was absolute garbage at developing QB's and misused him. Metrz is now the 3rd straight QB from Wisconsin that transferred to another school and flourished elsewhere(Jack Coan, Notre Dame, Alex Hornibrook, FSU, and now Mertz). It is clear that Chryst is a QB killer. Mertz is now in a system with a coach who actually tailors it to his abilities. Paul Chryst was unwilling to be flexible and was going to force Mertz to play QB his way no matter what. Chryst was the problem, not Mertz.

As a Carolina fan, this was a normal, blow a lead in the 4th. It's normal.

Not really. As a Gamecocks fan, South Carolina isn't that good. (Especially on defense) Don't get too excited. Can't blame Dowell Loggins on this one. He called a Bad game a couple of weeks ago, but he's actually done a pretty good job 👍 this year! Just look at Spencer Rattler's numbers this year compared to last year. Satterfield was pure TRASH 🗑️!!! (Have you been watching Nebraska Football 🏈 this year???) That says it All. Not sure why Matt Rhule is so confident in this guy. And it's not the OC's responsibility to recruit offensive lineman. (Dowell just got hired on this past December) That's on the Head Coach. Beamer just isn't getting it done! His DC will be GONE after this season. And Shane Beamer will be GONE after the 2025 season.
