Imagine your team is getting ready to play Game 1 of the CWS, you’re playing another SEC school, it’s the night game, your psyched and your adrenaline is pumping!…….and then you get stuck in a 4 hour rain delay. Now you have to have to get ready to play at a game at 10:30pm in a way less crowded stadium, with pitchers you didn’t plan throwing. And you gotta go get the job done. Crazy circumstances…

I agree that rain delays are the absolute worst, but how did it affect the pitching if the game never started? I didn't watch the game, so I might have missed something important.

He explained it in interviews. With Sdao gone, he decided to trust the offense to win the opening game and save Prager for game 2. He pulled Lamkin early because he definitely will need to pitch again since they have a reduced staff.

3:03 if the 3rd baseman didn't hesitate he would have been out for sure but he did. I still think he was out though

Without many years of at-bats facing 95 mph+ moving heaters coupled with extremely nasty sliders, only a handful of the most gifted can hit a pitchers' pitch. You gotta start the bat early against the high-heat -- vulnerable to the slider that is not a mistake. Try it some time at the cages if you get the opportunity. Quite the experience.

@@garrettsmith6679 Then you are a good hitter as I was in my 40s -- good pitch recognition out of the pitcher's hand. The swings out of the strike zone are caused by pulling the trigger on what looks like an outside fastball -- fooled [a slider].

3rd base coach lost the game for the gators by not sending kurland home on the double. Would have scored easily!!
