Florida Trail Camera Pickup: Creek of the Bears and Bobcats
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
I don't spend as much time in Florida as I would like, so I was really pleased with this trail camera pickup. I got bears at this location last summer, but the videos weren't great due to my camera placement. Patience paid off this year and the bears returned. As you can see, the bears share this space with many other species. Florida is an awesome place and I hope to spend more time there this year. If you're new, feel free to tell us in the comments where you're watching from. As always, I'll be happy to answer any questions. Cheers.
Location: Florida, USA
Trail Camera: Browning Recon Force Advantage
Species Shown: Raccoon (Procyon Lotor), Coyote (Canis Latrans), White-tailed Deer (Odocoileus Virginianus), Bobcat (Lynx Rufus), Black Bear (Ursus Americanus), Nine-banded Armadillo (Dasypus Novemcinctus), Red-houldered Hawk (Buteo Lineatus), Barred Owl (Strix Varia), Unknown Snake Species, and North American River Otter (Lontra canadensis).

Holy crap it’s Tim Harrell! Thank you. I really enjoy your channel and the Florida panther videos.
the bear has a beautiful coat and looks very healthy. Noticed one of the racoons is blind in one eye, no night shine in the left eye. I'm surprised there are no snakes.

There was one snake. Surprised there weren’t more.
Very cool footage.. I would think for Florida that would be considered a giant bear! That looked big for anywhere!

I’m watching from Southern British Columbia but was raised up north with wolves, moose, bears, lynx, coyotes, great fishing, but I’m 82 now and am enjoying your recordings of wildlife down South.

Good location for the camera. I almost missed the otter, he/she was in stealth mode. All of the animals looked to be in fine condition. Great area! Loved seeing the bears.

Thanks for the intro, the key part that all the other trail camera folks omit. What's happening at a site is not self-evident. Seeing the water high and flowing and then low and maybe flowing beyond the puddles closer to the camera is very helpful. I think you got all the species you were hoping for. Of course, the big black bears are the stars of this video, but I think we're still in awe of the bobcats' flights, you could almost call them, across the creek. I have questions (as always). First, a technical one. Was there a problem with the sound? (Maybe I just got used to being serenaded on your vertical phone videos.) Anyway, here we start with the sound of rain and then your intro, but then we get silence. There's a little bit of sound a few times, including the first bear loudly shaking the water off. That was great, but after that it's mostly silence. The video is totally engaging. A lot of what we see we wouldn't hear anyway. Is that what's happening, just not a lot of very audible events? The creek is not rushing and no squirrels are chewing on the camera? I noticed all the deer's tails are even more twitchy than usual. There must be a lot of flying insects, but neither tails nor insects are audible. The racoons do a lot of digging into the bank of the stream. I'm guessing they're looking for something edible? I read that they mainly eat nuts, seeds, fruits, eggs, insects, frogs, and crayfish. I had to laugh when the snake swam upstream. No wonder the snake was incognito! It was underwater! That’s harder than the butterflies of yore. I was happy to hear that you could make this Florida project part of a family vacation. Otherwise, it would be a long commute between your home and camera and back! You didn’t overhype this video. It was a delight. I’m going to make dinner now (no frogs or insects) and then watch this again. I did have stir-fried crickets once as part of an outdoor survival class, and they were delicious. I’ll check out the book. Thanks!

No problem with the sound. Trail cameras aren’t great at sound, but there weren’t many audible events at this spot. The creek is slow and quiet. Not a ton of birds here either. Thank you for watching.
Beautiful video, especially the bears , so nice to see them safe and away from people.

Well that was fantastic viewing 👌! Loved the slow motion shots and that bear ..... 😲. Fat! But it looks like it had been in a bit of a scrap with something. In fact, all the animals looked to be in great condition, except for the deer right at the end. She seemed a bit skinny. And how's the big snake. Just lovely Michael. Thanks so much.

@@Michael.Outside yep that right, big boy, great shots, a smorgasbord of wildlife in that creek
Very nice footage as usual. The one deer seems to be making friends with your camera at times. The black bear is well fed for sure and enjoys a swim. In my state, AZ, there was a fatal black bear attack a few days ago but is very rare. I believe the news said two since the 80s, so rare indeed. And the raccoons are always feeling the water for something to eat. Hope you enjoyed the vacay.

I had a good time thank you. I used to live in Tucson. It was really sad reading about the bear attack. A good reminder to be ready for anything, regardless of how rare an attack like that one is.

Hey Michael , always enjoy watching your cam vids. Really nice catches of the Fla wildlife on this one too. I'm a sub who gets notifications for new vids. It was your channel that inspired me to go out there and see what I could catch on a trail cam. I have 2 in Levy and 1 in Citrus county set up right now. The trail cam vids on my channel are in my backyard literally . The deer come at night to feed on my grapefruit tree almost every night. But spooky strange creature I caught on my Iphone while walking on a trail I use daily for exercise, was locked onto me but I didn't even know it was there. That day it was so quite it was weird . So I decided to hold my Iphone up above my head and walk the whole trail but set it to zoom in on the area way back deeper into the swamp. I now take protection while walking that trail everyday. Thanks for this inspiration to get out there almost everyday.
