Tessitore and Gus Johnson are by far the most intense booth guys in sports. I love their enthusiasm and I wish both had gone farther in their careers than they have. Instead of these guys (as well as Kevin Harlan) getting the best NFL gigs, we get lame-o's like Jim Nantz and Joe Buck. Ugh.

What an unbelievable ending to an unbelievable Louisiana Kickoff Game! This will be a college football game to remember for years to come!

One of the craziest endings to any college football game I have ever seen. The momentum kept swinging back and forth in those last five minutes of the game. As a FSU fan, I’m so relieved they held on the W after almost blowing the game from thsr botched pitch and giving up the TD at the end. What a clutch play though by FSU! And the crowd reaction? Chills!This is a moment in sports history that won’t be forgotten. Wow! Go Noles!

Honestly this is one of the craziest college football endings I have seen in my life. I thought for sure FSU was gonna somehow choke the game in OT, but the college football gods had a different plan.

When LSU marched 99 yards, I was losing my mind. The Noles have had too many games in years past where they ended up on the wrong end of the score board. It was a great game to watch. Can't wait to see your Tigers down in Orlando next year.

Same thing happened this year, we wanted to win more than LSU did. As Brian Kelly once said “Our entire team needs to be executed”.

This game captured the essence of college football and why I love it!

This hurts as an LSU fan, so many emotions I felt between the touchdown to the blocked kick. Props to Florida State, they definitely wanted this win. So many things my team needs to fix before the next week and the start of the Sec showdowns.

On the extra point that was blocked, the left wing for LSU could not have been any more useless. He just stood still at the snap and let both the inside and outside rusher by him. Obviously he should have blocked the inside rusher (who blocked the kick), but he actually managed to block neither. Great job.

As a Noles fan here’s how I have this up in my head cannon: FSU plays one of its finest games-scratch that-THE finest game in at least 5 years up to that point. We didn’t actually think we stood a chance. The ball’s on the one, no way we mess it up, just score and seal the game. But of course, this is Florida State. It’s 99 yards of pure dread, the dream of us being back is dead, back to the pits of the ACC we return. But Shyheim Brown dreads that more than the fans and saves the season. This hasn’t been our best season but it has been my favorite. I love watching this team and I love watching Coach.

Boy have I missed college football. There's just nothing else that comes close. Here's hoping for a season full of these.

Your right. LSU gave the ball away in FSU red zone twice...and FSU got zero points out of it. Sloppy game where both teams did not deserve to win. FSU needs to do better on the oline. Travis is incredible

That FSU rush to block that PAT was awesome... They just went for it there and it paid off... Props to them for keeping their heads up despite a major blow in the final two minutes

Man, I'm a neutral watching this and I felt every emotion. That might be the game of the year for 2022. That was awesome and I was rooting for FSU even though I'm not a fan of either team.

"What a game" the drama, ending and excitement, I'm neutral for this game but man what a ending, College Football is back!!!

I just got on base liberty for coast guard boot camp and seeing that ending has never made me more happy. I hope the noles are back!!

Even as it was being blocked, it still managed to hit the lower crossbar (not too uncommonon on such short kicks), and the goalpost said, nope, not today.

That game right there is why college football is the greatest game in our country. The electricity in the stadiums at the end of games like this is unbelievable. I went to the Orange Bowl the 2 years Colorado played Notre Dame in the early 90's and still have yet to experience any thing like it since.

If Joe Tessitore is calling, the chance of a great game is multiplied by 10. The Tessitore Factor is real people

@@RenegadeSith mark my words when i say brian kelly will do things at lsu that will outclass alabamas dynasty and weve ever actually been one of the only teams to rival them over the past 20 years. it makes me so fucking proud to see that. especially with all the poverty and everything we went through in louisiana and to see these young men get to have such a special time and it's just amazing. we're about to win a bunncchh of championships with this dude man. he was a great coach already and notre dame and lets be real notre dame doesnt have the potential for recruiting or anything else that LSU does and i feel great for coach kelly man. i cant wait to see him do it after all the times he had good kids and good coaching and just couldnt push through because of the diffeerence between these southern schools and aside from like ohio state and clemson and florida state its just not the same level of athletes.

Man what a game. It's always weird with LSU and myself. Sometimes I can't stand the team, or in this particular situation I'm no Kelly fan at all, but LSU fans are some of the best I've ever met. Total strangers and were classy af when their team played at my college.

This is when Nelson from the Simpsons comes on and says "ha ha". Love it. Nothing better than watching a ton of effort go down the drain and hopes dashed because someone failed to block an edge rusher.

I don't usually watch football but this was a good game. The determination displayed by both teams is what made this a great game and the scores back it up.

A kicker has to be one of the most simultaneously chill and pivotal jobs of all time. As a fan and teammate, a missed FG is incredibly frustrating. Just know this; you're not as mad or disappointed as he his.

Is it just me or is Jordan Travis looking more comfortable? Also, that LSU quarterback is going to be a beast.

When FSU recovered that fumble late in the game, I was surprised coach did not have QB take 3 knees and kick FG to put them up by 10. There was no hurricane on the FSU campus...just a bunch of fans breathing a sigh of relief. Many games including NFL game were decided on teams deep in opponents territory not coming away with points.

That hurt me, and I hate LSU. I've seen my team lose a National Championship on the last play and on a kick six. Losing by an extra point is awful. Elation, then devastation.

Literally no one had the guy who blocked the kick accounted for. This was a special teams problem 100%.

I'm not a fan of either team but this is y football is 1#. U don't get drama like this in baseball. The unpredictability in this game was awesome. 35 yrs of watching or playing football. And for an opening week end best opening weekend I've seen in college football.

We literally have to thank our special teams for saving this game for us. Calling an inside pitch inside the 2 yard line while up by 7 with that little time left is absolutely stupid.

True, but it's college though and a vast majority of these are coach's calls. He could have checked out and either tried to push it up the middle himself, hand it off up the middle, or if gutsy enough, sweep option outside. That d-line's (and watching the ends) push was to smother the middle. I still think it was a boneheaded call but we still pulled off the W. Whew.

I went to bad after the last touchdown, thinking I will watch the Overtime tomorrow morning... Amazing!

FSU’s band playing neck at the end is some nasty nasty work 😭😭😭

We could have played that so much better at the end but I’m glad we won like that nonetheless. How many other people will be able to say they witnessed a walk-off blocked PAT?

I remember Michigan/Alabama 2000 Orange bowl. Tom Brady last game at michigan. Missed PAT in overtime by bama. 35-34 I think.

Monumental credit to LSU, they didn't give up to the final play. Special teams doomed them, though. I still think we played better, but this was peak college football. Go Noles!

When FSU fumbled at the goal line I was worried.

What an absolutely insane 4th quarter. I'm not even really a fan of either team but that's some sensasional football right there.

Man this is why I love college football, the most unexpected and craziest shit seems to always happen

I had a sinking feeling after LSU scored the touchdown that they were going to miss the extra point. Sadly, that happened and it was a heartbreaking loss for them. At the end of the day however, FSU played like the better team all game long until the final four minutes. LSU shot themselves in the foot multiple times. An injury on a celebration, a blocked field goal, a targeting penalty leading to an ejection, and a muffed punt. But they had a chance to tie the game and unfortunately, extra points aren't automatic.

I’m probably saying this because I’m an FSU fan, but this has been the greatest week 1 I’ve ever seen in my life and it’s all because of the teams that don’t get the love and attention that Alabama or OSU get. College football is so much more than just a handful of teams and tonight proved its magic. This was going to be a devastating loss for either team, and sincerely I hope any LSU fans watching this know I deeply appreciated the three hours watching this shootout and I was deeply impressed (and shaken) by your guys’ performance. You guys got my best wishes going forward

I wished I'd of watched this game. I love Florida state. Always have. LSU vs Florida state ... You know that's gonna be great game. Right down to the wire. Man. What are the odds of extra point being blocked. That is so rare. Good job Florida.

FSU got really lucky they got away with that mistake. Like, why on earth would you toss it near the goal line? I mean seriously. That's asking for trouble.

I didn't get to watch the whole game, I just tuned back into watch the game when he touched down in the epic blocked extra point. What a weekend of football folks, college football is really back.

That block from 66 on the oline at 0:00 was a thing of beauty
