@@Skerboysweetwe had a better defense than that LSU team. Think that would’ve been the difference. That LSU team didn’t play any legit offenses. Good overall teams, but no offense like ours. Auburn had one of the best offenses in SEC history and they knew our plays.

Now that i think about it, this is one of the greatest teams to ever play in CFB, IMO they are the best Team Ever, PERIOD!

flash 22 the “weak schedule” excuse used against teams is very lazy. It doesn’t matter who they played. It matters that they won a national title.

@flash 22 11 teams in the conference went to bowl games. FSU beat the brakes off of 7 of them. FSU's post season strength of schedule was 13. The signature game for the season was a drubbing of Clemson who ended the season at #8 after beating Ohio State. They beat Auburn in a very tough game because Auburn was a very tough team. FSU put up crazy numbers while Jameis Winston only played in 60% of the games. This is one of the most dominant teams ever. Without a doubt.

Personally i think this is the most overlooked and underrated college football team of my life (dating to 2000)

I felt so bad for Duke in the ACC title game. They had their best season in two decades only to be mauled by Noles in the end.

I know right? I remember seeing them make it all the way to the ACC title game and I was impressed with the progress they made that year, but after that it went back to the SOS.

As a Noles fan I did too. I have a ton of respect for what David Cutcliffe has done at Duke and their 2013 season was amazing, we just happened to have a kick ass team that year and Duke unfortunately picked the wrong year to put it all together.

I can still remember watching every one of those games in my living room, so much nostalgia.

One hell of a season...it was a great time to be a Nole that year. Crowd was loud, defense was great, offense was great, MANY points put up, and not to mention an ACC and National Championship.

Look at the size, strength and speed of our players at this time. Man I miss these days.

Seems like Benjamin caught every pass that was thrown at him that season. One of the best teams ever to play football.

It was crazy cause that was the first year that I started truly watching every game and became a “Real fan” and they went all the way to win the National Championship

@John Summers: TBH I'm an Alabama fan, and I don't think I've seen any team as good as this one. I mean I love how dominant our team is this year, but after that performance against Georgia, makes me wonder if UGA was really that good, or if we aren't as good as we were making ourselves seem.

Statistically this Noles team had the best PPG in the last 20 years and best/lowest points allowed, which in turn had the widest margin I believe in college football history. And to think that half of these games FSU had their second string by halftime

Say what you will about Jimbo leaving, but him high stepping it down the sideline while Whitfield took it to the house is one of the greatest seminoles sports moments ever

History repeats itself. 10 year anniversary. Fsu winning their 4th natty this year.

I'm a lifelong Canes fan and honestly this is the only team that I see that comes close to the 2001 Miami Hurricanes. The Noles were unstoppable this year.

Great highlights of a great season....but one key player is missing, as well as one key play. I get it, field goals aren't sexy for the highlight reel, but not one showing of Roberto Aguayo? The guy won the Lou Groza Award that year and was an absolute critical factor in the Noles going undefeated. And even though he's not missing, there are not nearly enough plays showing the pure raw talent and greatness of Nick O'Leary. The guy had some serious hands, made some spectacular catches, was a great blocker, and his ability to run after the catch was fearful and forceful...and the one key play I'm referring to is Nick just trucking that Clemson DB in the third quarter of that game after he makes the catch and starts heading downfield. Herbstreit's reaction is priceless is well! Great video nonetheless - Go 'Noles!

This team and the 99 National Champions are both Top 10 in the HISTORY of College Football.
