Florida Sportsman Project Dreamboat - Blinged Out Contender, “Damn Dog’ Mako Overhaul

Спорт

The technicians at Coastal Marine rig Cory’s 23’ Seacraft with brand new Suzuki outboards. Jumping over to Two Rivers, the Deep Impact is put to the test at full throttle. George LaBonte joins Dave Rodgers aboard his 1974 17’ Mako, custom built for cruisin’ with his first mate, Hooch. Back at TRB, the 25’ Contender project receives a touch a bling from Taco Marine.

“ it’s either gonna break 100% or run 100% “ I’ve never heard a statement more accurate about boats

3 things every shop says about a high paying customers custom boat. And every boat owner says: “Boat was way ahead of its time” “Best riding XXft boat out there” “Rides like a bigger boat”

Couldn't have found a more stereotypical Deep Impact owner. He obviously felt naked after the producer made him take off his gold chains.

Running a 3 blade prop top was 54 mph at 5600 rpm. It’s sketchy at those speeds an I run a 4 blade Rev4 for grip now which isn’t has fast but handles better. Thanks for asking. The build was also detailed on Classic Mako forum and THT.

Why do people say ‘heigth’? There is no ‘gth’ in height. Maybe because they’re thinking it’s like ‘length’?

Why so many motors. Wouldn't one big one be better. Or what is it a level thing or what

its a hell of a lot easier to maneuver a boat with multiple engines and the piece of mind of having 2 engines when running offshore. if one breaks down the other can get you home. Redundancy is key when you're in the big pond in a little boat
