You do not say one negative thing about any boat you test. It is important to differentiate between the positive and negatives of different boats to help people make a decision.

@@vmonroig21 Yes, they aren't going to say anything negative, because all of the manufacturers buy space in their magazines. But it does make it hard to make a decision watching these videos. I would like to run into these guys in a bar and get their honest opinions....lol.

@@douglashammon1 Yep. You can get one real opinion. Dave East left the show and started producing boats. I think there’s a pretty long waiting list for them, so he’s doing pretty well.

I'm in the market to buy a 28 to 30 foot offshore boat. Only problem is, all boat dealers tell me different shit and I can't get an honest opinion from them to save my life. When I go online everyone says buy a yellowfin, contender, or some other top end boat. I get told all other boats that are three piece blow and if they haven't been around for 30 plus years, you can't trust them. So, here I am, a year later still watching boat videos from the shore line because I don't have a clue what to get. Boat brands I've looked at in my price range are the NauticStar, Cobia, Sea Hunt, & Sea Hunter. I've been told their all trash and don't buy any of them countless times, yet I see them on the water every where. Eh, the struggle is real!

I would not recommend sea hunt they are way over priced for what you get. Unless you just want to have a family cruising boat.

J B : can I take this from a different perspective? I'm UK based and we a rarely see such wonderful weather and we don’t have (I’ve never been touched by it) such a driven sport fishing community. Our fishing boats are 32’ diesel stompers with a dozen badly dressed blokes fishing for mullet five miles out in shitty weather. But... if you want a boat that looks good, is reliable, and you look back at the dock over your shoulder when you walk back to the car and go “hey, that’s mine! It looks good!” Then the answer is to look at the second hand prices. If a boat is rubbish it’s reflected with the desire for a second hand purchase. If it drops like a brick then no matter how the internet bigs it up - it’s shit for a reason. Probably you’re not the only financial decision maker. So it has to please a significant other. The two herberts giving the commentary on this talk about competition fishing and then make jest at taking the family on board. Whether you like it or not you’re buying it for the family - they matter. If you’re unsure out on the water, get proper training to make YOU confident. If your wife/significant other is confident in YOU then the day will be a total success regardless of what you’re driving. Sadly the Atlantic stops me popping over (but my wife and I are doing Route 66 this June/July nowhere near Florida). I know you’ll make (or will have made by now) the right choice. You’re a long time dead so buy the one you want sooner rather than later. It’s a great video to watch, but dear God do these boys commentate on your Super Bowl? They can talk complete tosh for England (as we say over here).
