this was my first renne faire i went to when I was little. my mother made a dress for me and I had such a magical time, everyone called me princess it was better than disney world. I even remember the rag lady, she gave me a silver thread.

I hope those dogs get the best treatment and care that money can buy and I hope that they are treated well and are very much loved aswell

Same, i'm only against using animals for profits if they are not treated well like the angels they all are. they do look really adorable on stage though haha

Great video, I saw so many people I know as this is my faire and I go every weekend during season. I even saw myself off in the corner near the good knight pub stage. The haunted walk through looks great as I have not done it for years going to have to check it out.

At update on pricing from the 2023 season, it's now 32$ for adults just for a single day there and it's over 200$ for the season pass for all weekends, which is insane since it only use to cost 75$ a few years ago. The 1.50$ parking fee is now charged onto your price of the ticket now, so you no longer need to stop at the very front to pay it, you've already paid it on your ticket. The fair has gotten in more vendors & made the fair feel more like a port city would have back in the day but the amazing lack of any shade protection in some of the more traveled areas after years of being the same basic layout is a shame. Also not as many of the more memorable acts and bands that used to go to the fair have come back, some haven't been back there in years. O and Turkey legs cost 18$ there now when they only used to be 12$ for years before hand, so just something to keep on mind.

I remember when Renn Faires, were more traditional. You didn't have some of this, non Renn era costumes and characters. its become more a circus, mixed with traditional, mixed with, I'm not sure what to call it.

I went to this Ren fest but it was the Harry Potter themed

$1.50 per person park entrance fee? Ummm isn't an admission ticket to enter the faire/fest supposed to be your entrance fee, like that's the entire point of an admission ticket

The entrance fee goes entirely to Quiet Water's Park which is a Broward County Park. The admission fee is for Ren-Fest itself. I think they used to collect the entrance fee at the gates but there was eventually too much traffic to get in so the park changed it to this format.

@@FAD1010 still odd to have two seperate entrance fees. It should be rolled into one fee with the fair paying the park a percentage of admissions (add the $1.50 to faire admission, find what percentage of the total cost that is, and pay the park that same percentage of the final take). Just seems weird to tell people "oh you've paid to enter the fair but haven't paid to enter the park" or vice versa

Parts of that dog show I disliked basically how the dog was treated and feard for the dogs safety hope those dogs are very much loved and cared for

i tlooks like fun, except for the people wearing tanktops and casual clothing ruining the atmosphere, if you like renesaince,history and/ or fantasy in general i do feel you have to atleast put in a little bit of effort in your clothing. jeans and a shirt just won't cut it.

Right, well best kick out everyone who's not wearing renaissance appropriate clothing (that looks like everyone) and explain to the vendors why they don't have people showing up in street clothes and spending their money there.

Horrible, has nothing to do with rennesance, or vikings,, Denmark is the place to turn to if anyone wanna know about history or vikings Good Greif a horrible place

Tickets are now $35.28 (tax & fees) and pub crawl is an addition $41.46 (plus tips). Easy $150+ for 2 people and that doesn't include food. Ouch! We've been going forever and we can't afford to bring our kiddos anymore because the rides are so expensive on top of everything else.
