Hello dear Tiffany! Sounds like you had a wonderful fabric trip too. Yah! That store looks like a real fabric shop should or use to be. When we go to my daughters near Bradenton, I’ve got to get there. Her hubs will take us anyplace. I’ll have to put a ban on myself for several months before heading that way so I’ll be able to buy!!! . So happy you found quite a lot of such nice things and your bag will be so cute,,, and has Addy got t use her new smaller machine yet? She may be quite a great sewist , as she will be starting young. My grandson had a smaller Janome I’d bought for him at that age. He loved to pick out thread colors and could sew quite straight. Unfortunately, I gave the machine away when he lost interest but he sure had a steady hand for being about age four and super good control on the foot pedal. I videoed and showed some ladies in my sewing group and they were amazed at how well he did. Now, being 15, he’s lost a lot of interest ,,,But I tell him, boys and men need to learn to sew too. He might sew up a pillowcase yet this summer as I sure have enough fabrics in my stash. He’s in that awkward teenage yr this summer and everyone is trying to keep him busy. We sure are in a heat wave this week as I assume you’d be too. But it looks like rain and a nice t storm could come at any moment. It sure would Be welcomed!!! Take care and have a great week, I’m almost done with my sewing projects for my phys therapist gal. Her baby is due in six weeks. 0:30 So, my next project will be a bright tropical print button down, short sleeve shirt for my grandson as he’s getting to vacation with his dad and ( other) grandma for two weeks in July, to Hawaii. I love The Sewing Studio. My daughter lives in Orlando and I visit the shop each time I go to her home. Love all your fabric. Did Jan cut your fabric? She's so sweet. The fabric is expensive but it's great quality.. I sew some with their cotton. I like Northcott fabric cotton, it's softer and doesn't fray as bad as other cottons. Great video. Oh, first time I went there I was surprised how big the store was when I walked in. From the outside it doesn't look that big.

I would have broken the buying ban, too, in a place like that! Things even out - maybe you can skip buying another time this year, for example - and in the meantime, this was a special opportunity and you wouldn't want to regret not making the most of it. The fabrics you got are special and will be a lovely, useful! reminder of a wonderful trip. You had to get the bag pattern, of course!

Beautiful fabrics. Great to splurge sometimes but once you have sewn with the high quality fabrics it is so hard to go back to the more reasonably priced ones. The store looks amazing- how I yearn to return to Florida- sadly, way too expensive for me these days from the UK but I have such wonderful memories of all the special place there. 😊 Happy Sewing. I knew it!!! My favorite store. It doesn't look like much but once inside they've utilized every inch of space. That Riley Blake fabric was gorgeous! Can;t wait to see what you'll make.

Wow! What a wonderful shop! I Gould spend hours in there! Enjoy your haul! So many beautiful ways to remember your trip! I did something similar last October when I went to Texas. I still haven’t found the perfect patterns and fit yet, so the fabric is still in my stash.

Love all of your fabrics. You don't normally splurge on super expensive fabrics, so you are entitled to do so once, especially at a fabric shop that you will not be visiting any time soon. What is the top/dress you have on? Love the fabric. Thanks for sharing your purchases.
