I know shesterkin carries their team soo much while I have been watching them throughout the playoffs. I didn't realize how bad the rangers D is actually playing. So many passes right through the D for close chances for every team they have played except washington.

The cats have had the most zone time and ideal scoring chances but Shesterkin is keeping the Rangers in it . Phenomenal goaltending

@@Midge1k yeah Panthers have been better, but Barkov especially needs to dedicate some time in practice to shooting point blank shots anywhere other than the center of the goalie. Tkachuk, Reinhart or Verhaeghe would and have barried all those partial breaks Barkov was given

Reinhart being bottled up pretty much all day to find some day light in ot is pretty special, rangers been keeping him at bay so it was nice to see him and Barky get the dub

@@JustaComment93 Dude, you are a fan like any other and see things through rose colored glasses. Go watch any 'neutral' hockey show and you will hear every one of them telling you how fortunate the Rangers are to be in this series. The Rangers were outshot 197-87 in the last two games (all shots included including shots not on goal). The last two games, Florida might as well have been on the power play for the entirety of the third period. Tonight, Florida took 33 shots in the third period to the Rangers 7 and they Rangers outscored Florida 1-0. That is called good fortune... also great goaltending, as goalie is part of the team. The Rangers had one game that was decent, game 2, and that game was even.

Shesterkin was the real MVP last night. Bob has to be careful not to slip up with absolutely nothing happening in his zone, and it seems like that's the big reason why he's let NY get away with goals despite them having fewer chances in him; he simply has no pressure to loosen up his limbs with.

@@saberspamofficial NO they weren't flukes. Flukes are when, the puck is flying hiiiiigh in the air. And it hits the scoreboard. Then....it comes down to the ice once again, really nicely. Then it hits an official! Off that ricochet, it hits the glass and then flies magically over to the goal, SQUUUUUEEEEEEEzing itself past the goalie and into the net. That's a fluke. You don't know puck

Man this is the heart attack series that I know I needed but its gunna take 10 years off my life lol.

Most games could go either way with these teams. But one problem is these refs won't remove themselves from the game. What I mean is their inconsistency is putting a black cloud over the series. They should seem non-existent but instead putting themselves in the conversation. Terrible refereeing, these guys should not be reffing our favorite sport, at least not in the playoffs.

Totally diasagre , based on 4 games so far Florida clearly the better team but rangers have an all world net minder. Have the refs missed calls sure but for the most part they been good. All games been decided by a goal except the 1st game. Been a great series so far

@@Carlos-ds2xk FL has dominated certain categories but not clearly the better team. Their goals are mostly the consequence of puck luck rather than creating and finishing good chances. Games the Rangers have won even with FL having more O time and shots but less dangerous chances. Look at game 1 FL won 3-0 and sure outplayed the Rangers with pressure and O time but created no scoring chances and could have easily been a 0-0 game going to OT. It has been a very even series when you take a step back and look at what each team does well. It is also the Rangers who haven't clicked with their top lines or on the PP yet but are tied 2-2 with the bigger win of game 3 and retaining home ice adv, game 5 is the biggest game of the series and will most likely be the winner of that game will take the series.

@@Carlos-ds2xk I agree they have been stronger in some facets and I hate the whole without Igor bullshit, last time I remembered goalies were a part of a team so whats your point. My point is that test FL have been more physical and better defensively but have generated not much on attack and the goals they have scored for the entire series, half are puck luck. The Rangers for all their woes lacking PP & PK, top lines and players not generating much, and the defense turnover. The difference is that the series is 2-2 going to NY and NY won the more important games so far, so they are winning in spite of their woes and FL is losing even with their dominant play. If NY turns around any one of those issues they have which they most def can then FL is in trouble because for them to impose their game over the first 4 games and only be 2-2 and chasing the series, that is not a good sign. Again game 5 is everything for both these teams and the winner will most likely win the series.

The biggest proof that the panthers are the better squad is that if you swapped the goalies Florida would have won this series with every game being about 5-1

The guy who ripped past me at 90+ mph on a 40 mph city road, at night, last week DESERVED to be in jail. Doesn’t always work out that way.

The Panthers could easily be up 3-1 in this series. With even average goaltending from Bobrovsky in game 3, the Cats win that game. Shesterkin has been the difference in this series, by far NYR's best player.

@@doctorcane in game 3, Bob allowed 5 goals on 1.689 expected goals. That's -3.31 goals saved above expected. I agree he's been cold at times sitting there for long stretches without facing many shots... but if he was just average in that game, this is a 3-1 series for Florida right now.

@@IanMargol I'm not disagreeing with that. Bob has been subpar for what Fla fans have seen him do over the course of 2 yrs. I think the increase in defensive coverage and the ability to forecheck has limited what shots he does see. Shesterkin is getting shelled in his end and that, in a weird way is helping him stay on top of it. His inability to control rebounds and his lack of control in staying close to the net are eventually going to get him. He's way off kilter so many times, a luck bounce to the right stick puts 3 of those in net over the last 2 games and it makes Fla a 3-1 series leader going into Game 5. AS it is, it's tied.
