Hello Mikey! Thanks for chatting with me in the hallway at the show. I'm from Minnesota, and we talked about the Cake Eater. I also was impressed with the demos he did, and his going back and forth into the room to make the changes. There were 3 of us in the room, and he was working it like there was 30. When he did the demo of the Resonators, I was shocked. Did I really hear what just happened? Well the 3 of us that were in the room thought the same thing. We listened to a couple other products, and yes, there were improvements. Definitely one of the Best in Shows for me. Side note: I don't know if you have ever covered how you got into this business or not, but if you haven't, maybe you should, with some detail. Always interesting to hear how someone goes from nothing in this business, to something pretty big. Take care!

I live within 5 miles of the Cable Co. and years ago I visited them weekly borrowing many different cable brands, and to my ears Synergistic is the hands down best cables in my system. I use their top line of cables from 10 years ago and I have no desire to upgrade to the latest and greatest cables.

This guy is an enigma... he's totally pulled off a concept that hits the Audiophilia neuroses straight in the nose... how can you not respect it ? People buy his stuff happily. In fact they are addicted to his brand. 👏 Bravo... !

I tried a few of their fuses out of curiosity and to see for myself what they can do. I didnt buy anything too expensive, more the Entry level (Synergistic Reds) and was really pleased with the improvement/changes. Ive tried them in power cords, and in the Sbooster power supplys for my Dac and Streamer so far. : ) I ended up buying some more and also some slightly more expensive Hifi Tuning fuses with good results also. I can only imagine what some of the dearer ones do but also understand there must be a point where the improvements get smaller and dearer as we all know.

Ted a cool guy, I have a bunch of his products. That would be a great video if you were to visited him and got some Ducatti footage. Visiting Angie up here in TO would also be a good video. I saw one of her videos , she has a killer pizza oven at home. I been to her store a few times. She's one of a kind.

I enjoy some of your channel, especially what you show of your room and some of your equipment. But that was cringey. But if you are in the "I'm attracted to the mavericks" side of things, well that's also the mindset of conspiracy theorists so going in for this stuff wouldn't be surprising. Everything you praised could be said about entertaining and committed people hustling woo-woo at your local New Age/psychic/Spiritualist/astrologer's fair. And you can walk out with bags full of magic beads, and a lighter wallet. I'm curious if you actually find the "technical" explanations of those products to be plausible? Or does that even matter to you?

Hi. I messaged an acoustician about the "dots" utilised and marketed by this brand. His reply was "there are no magic dots".Simply put you need alot of surface arrea of coverage to have a substantial effect on acoustics, especially as the frequency goes down. The "dots" are simply too small even though they're attractive because they're unobtrusive. Fair enough if people want to believe in them, but I think the response I received says it all really. Add in the supercars in their factory and alarm bells start to ring about profit margins. It also appears that UEF is a special material that works electrically and acoustically for the hifi gear and room alike.Magic trickery at it's finest.

@@BoredSilly666 Like most people I don't have unlimited time and money. Anecdotes from audiophiles "I hear a difference!" can be found for everything under the sun, just as you can find testimony for every new age or alternative medicine anyone ever dreamed up. Since the high end industry is rife with dubious claims and products, I prefer to see some plausible account for how a device works first, before even getting to "I have to spend my time and money trying this! If you don't take that approach that's fine. I accept that we all do this hobby as we please. Cheers.

I have seen this guy a few times, at multiple shows, and realistically I have seen no difference with his products. In addition his products are usually in a few other rooms in the shows. Equally have heard no difference there. Previously he had those bass boxes which was the only time i have heard a difference and I find it odd that his product needs to be paused prior to insertion to actually hear the difference. To me it's a bunch of snake oil to be real. I respect youre opinion but I find it odd you are pro for these products.

Why do you think everyone should share your opinion based solely on your experiences? I can hear differences in SR's products, so that makes you a liar. If I hear a difference, so do you. End of discussion.

@@AT-wl9yq Well man, you must have golden ears and I am not saying this to be a smart alec. I am young, in my early 30's and ive been going to every single show post pandemic and on numerous occasions my personal take is no difference. I am not trying to say youre a liar or make them up myself. This is what I got, and I would never waste my money on any of those products. Especially if my system wasn't top notch or if that's what the final destination becomes since you[not you specifically] dont have the means to climb any higher. If you thinks it's crazy to invest your money else where, like a dac or an amp which is better than what you already possess than I can end my discussion right here because I know where you stand.z If you're already at the end of your journey, it would be a major disservice and misguidance to tell anyone to buy this who hasn't reached their top of the mountain.

@@OCDHIFiGuy I think you are mistaking the the sense in which @CarlVanDoren is using the term "stupid." I'm sure he means in engineering/real world terms of performance. But you seem to come at this only from whether someone is good at making money. I don't think it's a good look for you as a dealer of audio gear if your main emphasis is on admiring the hustle and money making, vs whether a product does what it's claimed to do. Do you believe the products you mention in the video have highly plausible technical explanations for how they work? You seem to have some level of electronics experience: Do you ever try to measure the effects of any such tweaks?

@@QuintEssential-sz2wnCan you reference a single test or set of measurements done by a reputable source, that adheres to the steps laid out in the scientific method, on any piece of high end audio gear ever made? Or simply put, can you back up your claims with real science, not junk science? Also, what would you have Mikey measure, and why? Read my other post. You may find it interesting.
