I’m here now, until the 20th, it’s amazing here, food is great, always something you will like. Beach is amazing and loads of shops/bars on the front too. Staff are great and kind. And not to mention the rooms are very clean and always kept on top of by the cleaners! All In all fabulous hotel

Great Hotel, been here every year since the volcano in Iceland meant we got put here for a week, it was better than the hotel we were in for the first week!, I like it mainly because there is loads of space around the pool and no "bum fights" for sun beds, I have even taken photos of pool area at 10:00 in the morning and still loads of space with maybe only 60% of the sunbeds taken. The pool and pool area are always cleaned every morning. The rest of hotel is fine, same as all hotels, hotel food seem to be the same from one hotel to the next to me but no complaints from me (excellent salad bar). I have just booked my flights for 2019 and will book the hotel soon, another note on this hotel, it seems to be around 50% of guests are returners and we know many family's that we keep it touch with that we meet up with. I do look for other hotels for a change but get fed up reading 100's of reviews that just comment on either the bedrooms / apartment or the food and when I see photos of the pool area i get put off. Only recommendation, make sure the kindle is loaded with plenty of books, oh also the beers and drinks are local but fine, including a reasonable sparkling white.

With the private transfers we have booked. Someone meets you in the terminal and then takes you up to where the buses are.

Two bed apartments are available on both the ground floor and first floor. We have stopped in both during our visits. The first floor apartments in Blocks J and K have views of the sea / beach views. We stopped in J201 the last time we visited, and this was in a great location. Please let me know if you require any further information.

Hi jason, we are looking at the floresta or the Lanzarote Mar for October this year, we have watched your videos for both. There isn’t much difference in price so based on your experience which would you recommend? Thanks

I suppose it boils down to what exactly you are looking, but I will try and give you my honest opinion. Location=Floresta. Food=Mar. Ease of getting sunbeds=Floresta. Entertainment=Mar. The Mar is a very big hotel and probably has better overall facilities but the Floresta is a lot more personable with very friendly staff. We are returning to the Floresta in May, which we personally prefer to the Mar. I am happy to answer any other questions you may have.

Thanks for the reply, seems to be in-line with our thoughts; the Floresta location is great but it’s a smaller hotel, Mar facilities look better but it’s a bit out the way. Our kids are 3 & 7 and so the slides etc at the mar pool would be ideal for them. Did you venture out much when you were at the mar? If so did you find it a hassle. We don’t mind walking but there doesn’t seem like there are much shops etc on the way into town to break it up a bit.

We hardly left the Mar due to the fact that there is literally nothing around the hotel and its a good 40 minute walk into the main Costa Teguise town. They do run a shuttle bus down to the main town every hour though. Location wise the Floresta wins hands down.

As the blocks are only 2 storey high, I wouldn't say there are stunning sea views from any block. Blocks D, E, F, G and H overlook the nice pool areas. Hope this helps.

Update. Stopped here again recently and had a first floor room in block J. Room J201, this had a nice beach and sea view.

as you walk in, on the right hand side, second floor just above the reception was where i stayed. been brill! went 17th december - 22nd slight breeze, perfect weather! 👍🏼

Blocks E F G overlook the main pool area and are central to all areas of the hotel. These are only 2 storey blocks. The ground floor rooms have patio door access at the front. The top floor rooms have their entrances around the back of the block. So the ground floor rooms have the easiest (laziest) access. If you email the hotel before you go and ask for your favoured area, they are pretty good at helping out with your request. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Yes, the main pool is definitely heated during the winter months. Kids club was pretty low key, but definitely had activities during the day. The entertainment, including the mini disco is in a large room behind the main pool bar. Kids disco started about 2030 with some form of professional entertainment following 3-4 times a week. They also did bingo and some fun games. I believe the bar stays open until mid-night ish. I am sure you will enjoy it!!
