Einer der schönsten Märsche vor einem tollen Publikum hervorragend interpretiert. Großartig!

Mir kommen, nach gefühlt gehörten 1000 mal immer noch die Tränen. Bin damit auch nicht alleine, wie die Begeisterung der Zuschauer es zeigt. Danke auch dafür.

Wirklich begeisternd diese sowohl von Orchester, Dirigent und Publikum vereint wahrgenommene Ode an eine symphonale Freude Ersten Grades!

Never saw a so participating audience enthusiastiicly listening a simple marsh, or, should I say the best marsh allover the world?

I just keep returning to this clip time and time again. A superb orchestra, a conductor who's really "into it," and one of the all time great marches. Count the ways the audience gets "into it" as well. It's what great light music does - makes people happy. This clip brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart each and every time I watch it. My gratitude to the performers, composer Julius Fucik, the great audience and to "Yannik" for allowing us to enjoy this

I entirely agree. This is one of the most complex marches in the literature; Fucik himself described it as a complete operetta condensed into a march. Unusual features of the march itself include the double introduction, the recapitulation of the A theme with glockenspiel (!) countermelody, the great sweeping trio with a delicate countermelody in the bassoon (!) on the repeat, introduction of a sprightly fourth strain between the trio and breakstrain (with trumpet (!) countermelody on the repeat), and the grandioso recapitulation of the trio, with a piccolo countermelody far more complex and difficult than the better-known one in Sousa's Stars and Stripes. Järvi finds perfect tempi and dynamics, hushing down to a whisper on the trio's repeat so as not to obscure the bassoon, picking up the pace for the fourth strain, and managing a grand, full-throated finale without overpowering the piccolo players as they gasp their way through the nonstop obbligato. A stunning performance of a remarkable piece!

I keep returning to it again and again myself, not just for the best performance of the Florentine March ever, but also because I love watching how much the Germans eat stuff like this up. Apparently, a huge subset of them adore Mireille Mathieu too. It's easy to make fun of them, but even I have been known to listen to Mireille for hours on end, and hey, this is Fučík, not some Schlagermusik CD that somebody bought at a gas station.

What a great video, music, conductor and audience. Fucik was a great composer.

Lebensfreude pur, dieser Florentiner Marsch und Alte Kameraden sind das Schönste der Marschmusik. Fucik eben. im 18.Jahrhundert komponierte er sie.

Fucik wurde 1875 in Prag geboren, starb 1916 in Berlin als österr Militärkapell= Meister, hat den Marsch also wahrscheinlich im 20. Jhdt komponiert. Teikes Alte Kameraden ist ein preußischer Marsch aus dem 19. Jhdt.

Ich bin aufgewachsen mit der Florentiner, Marsch der Medici, Laridah usw... in musikvereine. Aber dass hier ist der schönste Florentiner Marsch. So fein gespielt mit so viel nuancen !!

Diese Aufrichtigkeit und das Geniale, des Dirigenten und des Orchesters ist das beste was ich je gesehen und gehört habe

Abgesehen vom Komponisten oder Interpreten ist und bleibt es für mich : Genuss ,Zufriedenheit und viel Spass an guter Musik.

Czech was named Böhmen and was 500 years part of Austria and Austria Hungay Fucik Bandmaster in the Autrian Army, Austrian no Czech and now Czech a poor country, the EU has to pay for this idiots

Julius Fucik (Fučík) war ja auch ein toller Komponist. Oder "Einzug der Gladiatoren". Kann man heute auch im Zirkus hören.
