Once again thank you Geoff for your open minded approach to this fantastic instrument. Florentin is so special, he shows us new paths we can walk on the double bass.

He's incredible, his Bach performance of chaconne is just beyond all we heared before of Bach's transciptions on bass. Thanks for this video!!

Living very close to Cologne, I hopefully will have a chance to go to one of Florentin Ginot's concerts. He brings up new sounds, sides, nuances and subtleties of the double bass that makes it so very exciting to listen. Also great again is Geoff Chalmers' interview. He is a great bass player too and as always, he is asking the right questions. In doing so, he is the kind of (gifted) dancer who will never step on his (interview) partner's toes. Very, very cool music, playing and interview!
