Watching Florence singing live is an out of this world experience. I saw her in 2019 and was even able to hold her hand when she step on the barricade. Best night of my life.

So, I never watched Florence sing this live. She literally made me cry, she is flawless! I usually listen to the official video version because the visuals from GoT just make it perfect, so I recommend it (but not if you plan to watch the whole series because it has many spoilers). Her voice is out of this world.

I tear up every time I listen to this song. So amazing. And in the context of the show, was beyond epic! Her voice is mythical in this. Like she is here from a world were dragons and magic exists.

The type of song that really takes you way back in time to a country far away. And Florence nails it. So beautiful. Lovely reaction, and I'll spend some time with Florence now.

Nah it wasn't Gendry, he was a bit busy 🤣🤣. It was Pod that sang this.

Great vocals & enjoyable storytelling lyrics - what more can one ask for, if not a longer song.

On GOT, Podraig sings the song awaiting the battle with the Ice King’s army, Florence’s rendition plays during the closing credits. I saw Florence perform at Osheaga, in Mtl...one of the best live voices I’ve ever heard, (Annie Lennox is a close tie). While nothing can compare to the haunting simplicity of this amazing performance, Dark Side of the Moon does a folk- metal cover which I am sure you will love as well only differently.

Nice one guys - I knew you'd love that. You didn't miss it in the show: it's in Season 8 episode 2. The words of the first line were written by George RR Martin in the GoT books, and the rest by the showrunners when they decided to make a thing of it in the TV series. The tune was by Ramin Djawadi who wrote all the GoT music. In the episode Podrick sings it unaccompanied over a montage of characters preparing for the coming battle in various ways. It's a rerally powerful sequence. The F&TM version is then played as the end-title music instead of the normal theme. I quite often don't like the style of music that F&TM choose to do, but her voice is glorious and quite unique. She can somehow manage to sound powerful and fragile all in the same note, and it's perfect for this song.

There’s a bit of a waver in her voice that gives it that fragile feeling. I totally agree - G

Florence actually sung this over the credits of one of the episodes. It was sung by Gendry in the show just before the battle with the Night Kings army

Have you ever heard of 4th Impact ??....they are 4 sisters from the Philippines that are often called the Queens of Harmony and are arguably the most talented girl band in the world today. In 2015 they auditioned on XFactorUk and had the most views in the history of that show (170,000,000). They are independent artists from a far off land and rely on their fans (called dreamers - approx. 700,000 subscribers) to fund anything they do. I know you will love them if you hear them. Perhaps you could react to something recent they have done like.."Bridge over Troubled Water", "Dynamite", or their new original music "K(no)w More" on the Wish Bus.

Hey Ginger and Mike, liked this reaction to a beautiful song. Just wanted to let you know that there is a brand new "supergroup" (Dark Side of the Moon) with members of Ad Infinitum (Melissa Bonny, vocals), Amaranthe (Morten Løwe Sørensen, Drums) and Feuerschwanz (Hans Platz, guitar and Jenny Diehl, harp) who also made a cover of "Jenny of Oldstones": kzread.info/dash/bejne/p4No08qtd8zQj5M.html . They formed because of a bet between Melissa and Hans on which video would reach 1 mio. views first "Ding" by Feuerschwanz or "Marching on Versailles" by Ad Infinitum. Melissa lost and had to do a cover song with Hans. This project was born as they then had the idea of transforming Songs and themes from Films, TV-series or Games into metal. They sent a demo to Napalm Records and they immediately found that this one track is so good that it is worth to sign them as a band. I am so curious how this project will develope in the future because as of now, this is their first and only song.
