I was waiting in my hotel room for the concert to start. And this guy in the next room was full on belting out some FATM songs, so kudos to that guy definitely heightened the mood. EDIT: spelling

My obsessions often develop so slowly... and then there's a moment and it's like, BAM. Full on obsession. I will now proceed to excavate all of KZread to find every single interview, live performance and unreleased demo that there is. This often accompanies an intense liking of the main singer/lyricist of the band. I've loved F+tM for so long, but I tend to only be receptive to certain songs at certain times in my life or certain moods for what I'm into. I search songs one by one and will only put them on my iPod when I LOVE that song after the first listen. Very rarely do I love an artist for everything that they do. I have passed that threshold and can say now that Florence + the Machine are my absolute favorite band at the moment and will remain at the top of my list forever.

I watched a one-hour documentary about gaga where she talked about forcing an audience to notice hear early on in her career. She took off her clothes. She's still forcing people to notice. I understand the shock value (marilyn manson) but sometimes when artists aim for shock without needing it, you can still look beyond that to see some of their talent. Gaga does have talent, it's just buried, and over-produced. I much prefer the raw talent of someone like Florence, personally.

@@bloodyhetza you got to agree that at this point in time Lady Gaga became what is basically a pop-culture charecter, like, idk, Homer Simpson or something, she's basically not a real person anymore, and the only two ways to break that image I could think of are either drop the whole 'Gaga' thing alltogether and start something new, more sencere under a new name or somehow, as Florence put it in one interview, if I recall it correctly, "try to make myself less famous"

They are both real artists and i have no idea why you're comparing them.

It's like i have this realistic friendship with her from the way i think of her. I mean i had a dream we were arguing but then laughing and i get so deep into i almost forget she hasnt the slightest clue who i am and most likely never will 😭. Might write a list of people id genuinely kill just to spend a day with her😁 Or perhaps a list of psychotic things id do for that day. Infact a day is just too much, id be fine with 2 hours of her presence. God im weird 😂😭

They are quite different though, speaking in more philosophical terms Lady Gaga is more about postmodernism- puts more pressure on some sort of spitting image, a charecter, while Florence is more about new sincerity-puts more in the substance, all about being true to yourself, it's honestly amazing how such different, almost polar to each other, things can survive together in the genre of pop music these days

Oh come one! I mean I don't like Lady Gaga or any other pop star... (Except Britney Spears for when I work out.) But that doesn't mean you have to be a jerk. Everyone should listen to what they want, how's it going to affect you anyways?
