This song will never be the same for me after watching the video of her singing it at an Austin hospice for a teen fan a few years ago (it's on youtube if you want to watch). The girl was fighting cancer and couldn't make it to her show but she stopped by and sang along with her. The love and sadness of it all is just overwhelming. I was a fan before but this put Florence up there in my book.

I've seen the video several times. Makes me cry every time when the girl sings along and claps. Beyonce did the same thing singing halo. Check it out ❤

She can REALLY belt out a tune. Powerful voice and a really good band.

Gotta see a live one. She's like a magical fairy on stage, and people just eat it up. Cosmic Love at oxygen fest 2010 is a good one. Brad may fall in love 😆.

Seen them twice. It really was amazing. Magical fairy sounds about right. Barefoot in a dress, harp playing in the background....definitely one of my favorite female artists of the last decade. And yes I also listen to metal

Yes! And No light, no light. She also has a new one out that she collaborated with Dave from Glass Animals called My Love. What the Water Gave Me is another great song

I saw her play to less than 100 people when this record came out, in a small church hall in London. Jarvis Cocker from Pulp was a special guest. A year later she was number 1 and playing main stage festivals.

This is a fun song. This 70 yr old loves the singer’s voice and the percussion. Great tune.

She is an amazing performer. If you can find a live version of her song you will be amazed.

Her MTV Unplugged concert is a showcase for her voice - that will take away the distraction of the video. No Light, No Light is a highlight for me.

There is a video of her singing this acapela to patients in the hospital. It's incredible. She is definitely powerful and magical. Agree with others, seeing her live performances is where it's at.

Florence has one of the best voices out there. Her band aren't bad either and have a unique sound with the harp etc. Her videos are always wonderfully artistic and she has a stack of great songs. My personal favouite is 'What the Water gave me' which is simply epic.

I love Florence + The Machine. A super underrated one from them is Girl With One Eye.

Shake It Out by Florence. Pretty much any live performance, her Cancer Trust concert fantastic. And if you want your heart broken, her singing with a terminal cancer patient in a hospital is beautiful and heartbreaking.

You HAVE to see her do this live. She has a fantastic voice. Very apt that her first album is called lungs!

I grew up on 60s and 70s music but I love this song. I like the energy. It is a little chaotic like Led Zeppelin.

The chord changes at 5:04 really come out of no where in the best way possible. Its a solid song before that, but that's a little extra spice you don't expect. Kind of wish they didn't just reserve that for the end.

I was born in 1960, but I find this music great. Very original and fun to watch and listen to.

What a voice Florence has!!! On a very personnal level, "What Kind of Man" hit me like a ton of brick when me and my ex separated. And I still sing my heart out when I hear it :D

Florence Welch was born in 1986. I don't know who she lists as her main influences but she is from England. I'm not her or you all's, age but enjoy the songs I've heard from her before. For an absolutely stunning song & video, try her song Big God (it's not a religious song but rather one she wrote after being ghosted.) Her voice is stellar in this song. I intend to hear more of her stuff but I know about a dozen songs of hers and they are all good. Florence +the Machine are listed as Indie Rock on Wikipedia but I've heard them described as Baroque Pop, don't ask me what exactly that is though.

The whole concert at Hackney 2012 will give a good impression

Loved this band since I was a kid such a feel good song

So get this I got tickets to see her 3 months ago and next week is the concert in Madison Square Garden NY. I had no idea who she was but the reason i got the tickets was because her opening act is Sam Fender a huge upcoming British musician idk if i would upcoming now because hes lit. He came already last August to which i went to and now hes opening to Florence at the Garden which is huge for him. Since she's the main act i started then lisitng to her music and shes amazing. Little did i know i have heard of her before in two events....her song was played in How I met your mother when robin finds out she cant have kids and her cover of stand by me by BB king which is amazing was in the Final fantasy 15 trailer that i listened to non stop. Anyway iam glad iam a big fan of her now and gona go see 2 great acts at the garden.

She's amazing..... She takes her songs like this and slows them down, she's a trained singer. I seen Kayan West on the front row of her concert. She like an Opera singer with an orchestra and choir. You tube has live concerts . Prince Albert Hall, in England. She's had a few hits here this song and one other. Worshipped in England.
