Dedicated to the honor and memory of Hans Johan Blom (pronounced "bloom"); The Builder. He was 44 years old.

We are Flora Cash, musicians and storytellers, and our latest piece is a deeply personal one. "The Builder (För J. Blom)" is a tribute to a dear friend, a builder, who left us too soon.
He was a creator in his own right, turning raw materials into structures that stood strong and served others. We've tried to echo this using the very sounds of his trade - hammers, saws, and bricks - as percussion instruments. It's an unusual choice perhaps, but it feels right. It's his song after all.
In weaving this sonic narrative, we were fortunate to collaborate with Djordje Milanovic and Yoed Nir, whose poignant contributions on violin, viola, and cello added to the depth and texture of the piece. A slow-burning distortion grows and fades throughout the track, reflecting the sharp sting of loss.
"The Builder" is a tribute to a friend, and an acknowledgment of the unsung builders in our world. Each note carries a piece of our friend's spirit, the intensity of our grief, and the beauty of his enduring legacy.

WOW . I am so moved by this piece. The images, the sounds, the emotions. The images were like a journey through a the legacy a builder leaves behind. Their work, their foot print. The artistry in this piece was stronger than words. thank you for what you do. ( I fear the day I deal with the loss of my own beloved builder, my soulmate, maybe thats why this piece felt so personal.

Not... Quite, it's about how through creativity, hard work and dedication our world was build, and how it will likely look in the future if we just keep at it. It's a beautiful and yet tragic tale of Mankind's creation and destruction.
these visuals were amazing, it felt like many alternate worlds colliding into each other, trying to fully manifest, while something tries to fade all memory of their existence.
I am lucky enough to have worked at something I loved. I built homes and nothing satisfied me more than looking back at the building I helped create. It was full filling to know I had made something useful and lasting. A place for a family.

Something I've noticed on the visuals, it's slightly different realities Blending together, but as it goes on the realities get more contrasting and more other wordly. I think it shows as their friend dies, he ascends into a reality too beyond ours to even define accurately, if that makes any sense.

No. We didn’t use Kaiber. This was made using Stable Diffusion generating thousands of individual images and meticulously guided and edited by a team of humans.
It is beautiful. I ended up bawling halfway way through. So damn beautiful.
