Btw. We fans have never asked Floor to sing a phone book. We just always said she could and would even hear that from her. She can and she does. 😁 To slow love slow I can only think of: 30s bar, poker, cigar and whiskey, melonhat on the head. Floor on a small mini stage singing this song.

I'm a classically trained piano teacher. I find it best to start with piano/classical theory so then you know how to break the rules with other genres and instruments. .lol Floor is amazing and so is this song!

Emppu (as far as I know) has said that getting the guitar solo as he liked to hear it was difficult at first. Then he took a few shots of vodka (?) and got the jazz vibe on😉

Isn't she good? Join the livestream of the full concert today in support of Floor!! Anette live at Montreux 2012 is the Anette to watch. Jukka playing jazz style drums is something to see. Marco does gentle backing vocals. Lights are right down to the centre of stage giving it a quite intimate jazz club feel. Nice little Emppu solo too. The same concert has some really good close-ups of Troy and the Uilleann pipes which look fantastic, vintage brass etc.

The guy with the guitar is the leader of the band (Marcel Fisser himself). The band is a session and backing band, who lived a long time in the shadows but made it to a backing band for a few Dutch artists.

The Frisians in the north of the Netherlands were related to the Vikings, other parts of the Netherlands were more inhibited by Franks or Lower Saxons, in fact all three are Germanic tribes

@@forkless Excellent comment(s). There's an interesting book arguing the point that many of the later "Vikings" were in fact descendants of the Frisii. There's even the etymological case made for the term "Wyklinge" (what I recall, have to look up the exact spelling) being the forerunner of "Vikings". The term in today's Dutch would be "wijkelingen" i.e. "zij die wijken" which means to move away (temporary in their case). When "Vikings" came to the Low Countries, they came back to their native shores. Anyhew, thnx for reminding me of that interesting booklet. Cheers!

Absolutely gorgeous. Much love to Floor and best wishes for her complete recovery. She has such vocal range and her stage presence is incredible. There is also a live performance with Nightwish from Ft. Lauderdale in one of her first concerts after joining their tour in the US. It's fabulous and also a nice solo from Empuu.

Love this reaction and love Floor. There is a American band called WASP that you need to do a reaction to. They did Shock-Rock in the 80'thies and in the 90'thies was influenced from personal crisis yet wrote great music with "Still Not Black Enough" and between 2009 to 2015 turned to christian metal. So I recommend to start off with the Golgotha song of the same Album that was released in 2015. Golgotha is the Mountain where Jesus was crucified. So Blackie Lawless had an amazing transformation from satanic shock to become a new Born Christian and his music today is really amazing.

In Tommy news: You're going to ser me post this on every reaction all week... myself and fellow Sabaton fan, Erica, are starting a campaign... backstory: Tommy's band Majestica did a Christmas concept album that's just fantastic...and they were going to tour it this srason...until the Sabaton tour was extended and it had to be canceled. So on Fri, we're asking everyone who checks out his cover on his channel, to suggest that Tommy do a Christmas in July, Majestica tour.
