I agree that this is their most amazing 'short' song. The low notes, the rhythm, just mesmerising ! The melody, the composition is pure genius. And Floor (as usual) just dominates this song, she dominates the stage here. This has to be one of the top 10 all time life performances of any band worldwide.

Floor Jansen's Versión Is Better

I've been noticing Floor's body language. I don't know anything about all that technically speaking, but I can see something I see and calls my attention: have you noticed what she does with her hands many times in the songs ? She exends the arm to the front and show the palm of her hand with the fingers wide spread. I think that has a meanning and a very important one in what you communicate with your body. I have heard that politicians for example, always try to show their opened hands, not making a fist or pointing with the finger... it's interesting. Floor does a lot of body language, also with her face and all that is part of the amazing experience of watchig her perform a song.

I can't help but notice that in one moment she can express the meekness of a fawn.. and in the next, the predatory glare of a beautiful bird. Nature has nothing on this woman.

I'm going to have to agree with these two. And I'm going to add Epica - Sancta Terra ft. Floor. I know it's not nightwish, but its classic Floor, and I love the live orchestra and choir.

Yes you really have to do a reaction to that song. I absolutely Love it. I hear Nightwish since i was 12 or 13 and After forever. I love Floor with Nightwish. Anette was not bad in her singing but not epic. Floor is a goddess!

Everyone saying he needs to do ghost river / poet and pendulum but we are forgeting how much "The Greatest Show on Earth" will most likley make his brain explode. Thats the one im waiting to see him react too!!

Comparing singing to guitar or drums is about as unrelated as comparing pears to mashed potatoes.

Well you have to admit that Floor vocaly is from a completely differnt caliber than Tarja and Annette, She is more versatile and has a lot more power. That is what Nightwish needed. Let's say it saved the band and that is an understatement. Watch the bandmembers, she how they smile and react.

You can't go wrong with ANY song from the Wacken 2013 show. It is legendary! You need to react to Dark Chest of Wonders and Ghost River. Dark Chest is the show's opening song so the energy is off the charts!

I think this show is easily a contender for best live gig ever recorded. Everything is on point.

Song Of MyFloor.. Floor is the most versatile & technical vocalist i've ever listened to. Her vocal range, from belting techniques to chest voice to head voice are awesome.. She's got the total control & the most amazing part is she could swtich her vocal style in instant.. Not even other professional can do that

It's not fair... man at least you can hit a note, then there are people like me who couldn't hit one if I fell on it!!!! She is great and man you are really hooked on the "FLOOR FIX" train!!!Like the rest of us we grovel at the feet of a angel who sings to us mortals to remind us just how wonderful it is to be able to hear her!!! I love how the dynamic duo of Floor and Marco get you up and jumping...Mr. Rogers on adrenaline in the neighborhood!!! Yeah Floor worked out a lot and at 6' 1" she is the metal world's version of Wonder Woman!!! In an alley fight I want her on my side any day!!!! The result of the heading banging....Floor by knock out!!!!! Floor and her range and power is perfect for a band that loves to change it up even in their songs. I will say she has you bitten like a tween who has a crush on his first love only you are harder hit just like the rest of us. You notice how many female fans love this band and Floor who is the lead vocalist, just look at the crowd and remember this is Wacken... one of the Meccas of Metal and this is one of the biggest metal festivals anywhere!!

I'm reading the lyrics while listening to this... The chorus really hit me in the feels. 'In silent suffering' 'Smiling like a clown until the show has come to an end' Practically me. Due to some... mental condition (handicap is more like it won't go into details, for it'd take 10 pages to describe it accurately, and summarizing results in loss of details which makes it impossible to understand at all) I'm slowly dying on the inside. Up to a year ago I was quite happy, but now I go to the university and the pressure has become a lot higher get good results I'm barely smiling, and when I do it's mostly fake to prevent people from asking.
