This. Is. Amazing. I'm left speechless after watching this one. So much lore dropped within just 17 little minutes, and I've been playing FE2 without even knowing most of it. Thanks for making this, you somehow manage to connect the tiniest little things into a storyline and it somehow works SO well. I am actually emotionally impacted because of it. Wow.

The Guide went through SOO much, which turned into a monster, quite a lot of trauma. Crazyblox leaving without saying anything, Flood escape Being destroyed, he’s been through hell. I would probably say he’s trying to get revenge because of all of this. And him becoming a murderer really showed how angry he was. This is an awesome video, well done Chris Semler.

Firstly, id like to thank you Chris for dropping the biggest flood escape lore analysis videos ever, they're amazingly well done and you've put in so much love and care into a silly video about our silly Guide :) I would also like to add in a little sprinkle of my own lore that i interpreted for northern mill! "I was given a second chance" I believe that he started the destruction in FE, still cant back up how he did it, but I believe he did it out of jealousy. as the final updates were rolling in for the original flood escape, crazy announcing the sequel. Guide refused to move on from their glory days with Crazy, so they found either a faulty pipe, or cracked open the wall (which is seen in the outside of familiar ruins in 15:47 ) and started the destruction. He fled to BTR while crazy chases after him, they momentarily duel with their flood swords but Guide makes an escape. He traps himself in the room we find him in while Crazy bangs on the metal door in attempts to get back at him. he fails and begs guide to open the door saying he'll forgive him if he opens it. Guide does not. "I wanted to be strong" Would refer to him retaliating over Crazy. He did not want to accept his mercy, and instead wants to charge in head first, boiling that his only friend left him for innovation "I needed to survive" Is quite an obvious one, it's his journey to plan vengeance against Crazy, alongside the abandoned Guide clones. "I have committed sin after sin" I believe his first one would be destroying FE, he begins to find enjoyment in tormenting Crazy and destroying every thing he's worked for, and his hard earned players included... "and when I decided to stop, I ended up letting go of someone I really cared about" After he snapped from his large fit of rage, he finally realizes that the glory days will never come back. Not after everything he's done of course. If only he took that second chance, they could have relived those days, and maybe even better ones. Instead, he let his emotions take control of him (hmmmm not very NPC of him.... new lore?) and self-sabotaged. I hope you enjoyed reading this! and again can't wait for the next episode :) p.s. im so gonna make a drawing inspired by this episode.....

The bedtime story we all needed, but nobody asked for. MAN did this hit different, after all this i just feel like Guide needs a hug, hes seen a lot of stuff, i cant describe how traumatized he wouldve been, and all that analysis, even using real life!! just to explain a silly water running game, i appreciate the effort put into this, Chris, you are absolutely COOKING with these lore theories, keep it up man, its really nice to see some lore in my favorite game that i have been playing since 2017, thank you man, this touched me.

when the world needed him most, he returned

Another day, another theory. The players in FE2 seem to be workers for Crazyblox. Or at least unknowingly. My main reason for this is the monitor in the lobby and the Abandoned Facility. On the monitor it talks about checking for communications (possibly messages from other facilities) before searching for distress calls. This could only mean that Crazyblox is sending people to go rescue others. What from? The only thing it could be is floods.. since.. well.. it's called Flood Escape 2.. Looking back at the monitor it clearly shows Beneath The Ruins meaning somebody has been monitoring it. This is where a new theory comes in. I think that whenever the lava still left inside FE1's ruins leak out it could potentially lead to the destruction of the world or some other reason as to why you would want to monitor it. Now if we look at Abandoned Facility you would realise it has changed before. The older version had a different monitor that instead showed the Infiltration map with new text that talks about someone turning on the monitor as they watch over the facility until a flood is detected before warning us to leave. The old version makes it clear somebody was watching us in the Infiltration map and the players beating the map actually caused a flood to occur leading to the person to leave. Who could this be? I'm not sure. The new version I think was actually retaken by Crazyblox after the flooding. Now for one last thing which is about The Lost Pages and Flood Sword. I actually think the pages contain something to do with the flood sword. Why else would Crazyblox want us to find them? The book that The Guide has for the flood sword might not be complete which would explain why the flood sword is broken in Poisonous Valley. And then once Crazyblox realises that the players were the ones getting the pages he broke into the facility to use the lift to reach them. Once he got them all he went on a rampage before realising what he did before running away. He now hides in Northern Mill. He doesn't think he can earn forgiveness but maybe he could at least try help. He remembered the FE1 Ruins and how the lava inside needed to stay in. And so.. that's really it.. However it can continue in one way.. seeing how people have manage to give FE2 lore in the maps what's stopping someone from making a map that could create more lore for the map (and maybe a hard map where the FE1 Ruins collapse as the lava starts to pour in and with The Guide we stop the lava in some way). But for now it's over..

Better than game theory itself. Also something I wanted to mention, the map thats currently being made by crazyblox has the same palm trees as flood island indicating it's another island map which could be where the giude fled

But i still think that Flood island is the sequel of Sinking Ship because Flood Island Starts off with an unknown island with traces of wooden raft and boxes, and the acid coming from the ocean.

if you think about it, the rescue in beneath the ruins is THE GUIDE, even more lore. he was even placed beside a door, basically saying it was a failed attempt at escaping beneath the ruins

Could it be that active volcanic mines was took place near the volcano that destroyed flood escape 1? Although I don't have any evidence to back this up, it's just something to think about! Keep up the good work Chris!

My friend made a theory that because one of the escapee skins have a shirt thats sold in the merch store in fe1, that said escapee actually escaped the ruins of fe1 and that the reason he’s in the fe2 maps is because he’s collecting data for crazyblox

Another 10/10 flood theory video!! Like seriously, I didn't even know like half of these things, i can see all the work and love you put in this video and now Guide's story is fully fleshed out in my mind!! I kinda wanna draw fanart now xD, thankyou for making this awesome series!!

You have a good theory - Lore may be located in the first years of Earth (After having new atmosphere) - They were scared of ocean - Where did a forest spawn from??? First a society develops on an island between the ocean. Then a man (Guide man) builds Flood Escape for entertainment but there was a problem: It was built under the ground. One day this Guide Man couldnt see anybody in the Lobby, then *woops* tectonic plates acted. He only could hide in the Training Center in the end of a Hard Parkour, we can imagine these masses of lava with maps like "Familiar Ruins" and "Beneath the Ruins", they are related with FE1. Finally He saw the creation of a "FE2" and he got angry. He would fight and study the virus throughout three large landmasses and would plant this virus in FE2 After that we dont know what happened to him, we only know that his sword is in FE2 Lobby in the water. Secondly, CrazyBlox, a man that escaped from Flood Escape ruins. Built a Science Facility in a forest, under the ground too, he would build Flood Escape 2, with new mechanics and things, but things werent all happiness, he would have the same error as Guide Man, tectonic plates would act too and lava would appear everywhere. He had to escape from the floods of his new masterpiece. This new society would need new guides before it is public, so he gets them. Finally, the Guide man from flood escape is still alive and he would visit the different ruins and floods in FE2, so he could plan how to get revenge against Crazyblox for stealing his ideas. He found a place and hid there. Crazyblox would find out what Guide Man wanted to do, he feared that the new guides would end like him, so he abandoned them. Guide Man would find them and take advantage of this, now all the Guides would want revenge against Crazyblox. The Guides brought Guide Man to FE2 Lobby and he would kill the society with his sword. Like I said before, his sword is in the water buried there. Maybe it was only a sign of what did he do. Then he realized in what did he become and he decided to leave Lobby. He escaped from all and then he saw a Wood Factory, he wrote his last words in the wood and he committed suicide, if a sword stuck in his hat means that he cut his head or something, but he died there. My theory about "Rescues": In FE2 this new system would be harder than FE1, some players would get lost or had contact with Guide Man, so Crazyblox had to send more players to rescue them.

This I just truly amazing, it is really interesting to see how you gathered all this information for this interesting lore. it was a really crafted video, like heck, with the guide saying about him leaving it all behind even made me feel emotions a bit.

God i was so excited for this video. The amount of little details that i missed in my 5 years of playing this game is mindblowing! I admire your ability of stringing these seemingly meaningless details together and giving them an explanation. Going against what Crazy said about FE2 lore, i believe in FE2 lore. Also, couldn't it be a possibilty that the rocket under Northern Mill is actually the rocket that takes us to Blue moon? MAYBE the guide left his stuff behind to go there, but we don't know his purpose.

not what i believe to be the Guide’s story, however this was very useful and informative. for instance, i had only counted Crazy’s maps as canon to the Destruction Event. now, i see that the Explorer, Guide, and Survival Party went to fix the Flood Sword. they also might have used Crazy’s original Dark Science Lab as a base of operations before exploring the Dark Science/Poisonous Forest. From there, the Explorer was captured, and Flood Escape Two was born from his dying dreams.

This really just made me shocked seeing this video.

Dude I love Flood Theory. This shows how the Guide went from a helper in the flood escape game, to a cold-blooded killer. Honestly, why even say that it's just a theory? All of this feels so genuine for lore on Fe2. Even if this wasn't real, I'd still choose to believe it's real. Flood Theory is honestly one of the best series I've seen on KZread. You do such a good job coming up with theories and providing evidence for them. It honestly leaves some emotional feelings. I am not that smart so I don't know if I could really come up with as many theories if I tried. Either way this is amazing, keep up the good work! I did think about Familiar Ruins and Beneath the Ruins of the lore and it caused me to try and look up for some lore of fe2 on KZread. And that's how I found Flood Theory. It's such a great topic and it just makes me want to be featured on it some day. I completely understand if I never be on an episode of Flood Theory, that is a bit of a weird way to request it, but that's just how much I love Flood Theory.

ANOTHER THING TO ADD ABOUT NORTHERN MILL: I do not believe that the message or room is canon. the map DOES, however, explain Blue Moon. It wasn’t a dream, but instead some sort of mission i guess. Maybe it was even before the Explorer found Flood Escape…

This is my FE2 map timeline 1st map: Cycle's end (Right before the destruction) 2nd map: Abnormal Coming soon... Story: It was all a deception. There was no facility to escape nor flood escape to exist in the first place. There were no Crazyblox. There was nothing. Only Guide's delusions. His life was a lie. An endless cycle, up until it's ending... The story is based solipcism, which is the belief only you can truly exist
