Flood in Vernazza
Video captured during the floods in Cinque Terre on October 25, 2011. My wife and I were staying at a rented apartment in the small town of Vernazza under the castle. The owner, Monica, who also owned the Ristorante Al Castello next to our apartment, opened her doors to everyone stranded and somehow prepared food for over 100 people without power and water. She was so generous and we are praying that she recovers from this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with Monica and everyone in the town of Vernazza.

Deeply saddened to see this video. We just visited Vernazza in June and thought it was one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. It must have been terrifying to see that happening right under you. How did you get out of there after that anyway? Thanks for sharing the experience.
