That part really hit me in the feels. 💕 I’m all, “Awww, Uncle Floki!

Just sent a donation to help with the new enclosure. My legs are not as bad as his but anytime I feel like not doing what I must to stay moving I think of his bravery and refusal to quit. Plus we both enjoy our food 🙂

Love Floki! i watched since you Brought him there.

It's amazing what you all can do to help an injured monkey gain his mobility with such delicate bones. As always VFM great work.

When the mower started and Floki hopped I burst out laughing. I love the specials. You've had a couple stories of late that would make good episodes.

Yeah Shasta was pretty rough on jim...poor Floki! He meeds the younger crowd hes such a love bug really a sweet boy who has been through it.

I am pleased to learn the very beginning of Floki's story which I never knew. Also great to see this update as the last I saw was him having his first exercises at the foundation after his 2nd op. The vet is amazing; the volunteers are amazing and Floki is such a little trooper! He tries so hard. I was astonished, bearing in mind his life before VMF, that he is so good natured and so protective and encouraging of the babies. He's a real poppet. Is Cuddie the one who, as a result of her brain damage, had taken to sleeping on the cold floor and you brought back into sick Bay to fed and warm her up?

Well, that just goes to exemplify the dedication and persistence of your team in giving these primates a chance at their best life. I know we have recently had a set back with Mr Floki but thank you for caring for him so well. I’m just curious, would amputating the troublesome leg not be better for him. Little Jonds is doing well with three legs, I’m just curious?

@@VervetMonkey oh how sad. The fact that he sustained the injuries from man and we are sadly unable to fix him. Again a wonderful testament as to the work you guys do, and the lengths you go to in order to help these precious monkeys who would perish but for the foundation. Every year that I’ve watched there seems to be an increase in the number of orphans you receive. I hope they don’t outgrow the sanctuary as that would be dire. Amazing work you guys.

What a heart-warming video this was! Heart-breaking at the start to know what the poor guy endured, but so refreshing as it went on seeing his progress. Thank you, both for sharing it and for the magnificent work everyone did to get Floki so much further down the good road. How long will the fundraiser be going on, btw?

Ellie, it’s so brave of you to shave your hair from your head. You have the most beautiful , long red hair. I will contribute! Very happy to see an entire video devoted to FLOKI. So many questions answered. I have more questions. Has Floki received energy healing like REIKI? IMHO, it would help him so much. His progress to the present is nothing short of a miracle. It’s so precious when he protects the babies, so full of Love. Who will live in the new enclosure with Floki? Is it Cutty and Lelo? I’m unclear about that. Not that it matters as far as donating, just trying to understand the dynamics for he, and his friends. One of the things I love about Floki is the purring sound he makes. So cute. It will just be Cuddy as we don't want to restirct the others who climb well and she is happier with Floki.

@@kimberlygarrish205 I just donated... I googled up popped a calculator I put in it how much I wanted to donate in US dollars and it gave me what that equaled in British Pounds. I gave 16 pounds which roughly equaled 20 US dollars.

because they keep popping out -due tissue and muscle growth - believe you me if it was as simple as that - thats what would have been done

You'd like them to put on some weight? I'm an expert in that field donuts ice cream, and brownies always work for me, unfortunately.
