Miss this coaster, was the best thing at Jenkinsons. Especially when it was the last one left. No idea why they removed it just for it to be relocated to ocean city, Maryland. If they wanted to replace it they could've at least got a real coaster not a crappy SBF kiddie fodder. This was so much fun and everyone enjoyed it. A custom E+F high miler would've sufficed.

Jenks is limited to 30' max height for a coaster - that's why nothing bigger came in. I agree, this was way better than the current spinner.

Jenkinson's looks like it has a bigger appeal to younger kids as opposed to say Keansburg which has more thrill rides, but yeah even then The Flitzer was way better and little kids would still go on it (like me).

This ride started my love of roller coasters, it’s a shame they took it down and replaced it with a stupid spinning coaster that I probably hate already. I will never go back to Jenkinson’s again

i went on that ride yesterday and 2 days before yesterday & it was awsome. for some reason we only get to go around once

I LOVE the Pendolo so much!

I saw my favorite ride in the background and that is the pendolo

went on it this summer, so much fun.

I'll miss this ride. It's a crummy, rough and slow old coaster but I've ridden it every summer since I was a kid and it was fun despite its flaws. It's getting replaced with a Zamperla spinning coaster, which isn't a bad thing but it won't have the nostalgia of the Flitzer.

I wish this was getting replaced with a zamperla spinning coaster. That'd be fun, even though i'll miss this a lot. no reason why they couldn't have asked zierer to build something like it but faster and new of coruse. instead they put in some crappy SBF visual group coaster that'll probably barely spin and is super slow, as it was shown in iaapa videos full on display already. Also this ride was never crummy or rough, only pansies would say this was rough, and the way you rode made it different and everyone loved it til it was moved, only thing more popular was Pendolo.

I wonder if it went somewhere else. I'd like to see it at Knoebel's where they need a coaster like this, or a bobsled or wild mouse type ride.

I helped build or at least put back together a flitzer....might be the same one the guy i'm working for at jolly rogers in ocean city md bought it and constructed it back together he also owns a wildcat steel roller coaster

same the true first was tornado which I dubbed when I was little "the fast and slow coaster"

they must've moved the park around, i don't remember it being like that.

4/12/2019 I was just reading the Jenkinson's web site and the Flitzer is gone and has been replaced by Tidal Wave, one of the new types of spinning coasters. I've never ridden the Flitzer and I won't ride a spinning coaster so I doubt I will be going back to Jenkinson's anytime soon.

Yeah Flitzer was a lot of fun, they put a honestly straight up boring crappy SBF visual group coaster in it's place that is like a wacky room with some "rotation" and takes up less space. No point in visiting it at all, if I didn't live like 20 minutes away I wouldn't bother and I only go once a year. Seaside Heights/Casino Pier, Ocean City's Playlands Castaway Cove+Gillian's Wonderland Pier are the good NJ boardwalk parks. Wildwood has the big wooden coaster and other fun stuff (coasters+rides) but it's ghetto and super overpriced.

This looked faster when last saw it in person 10 years ago. Did they take out any drops?

also, this is more of a mini vacation for me, not even, i have a relative that rents a little summer house with no attic or garage or basement. It once belonged to my aunt esther.

I still can’t believe they replaced it with a stupid spinning Costa I hate spending Kostas literally wildwood and play lands castaway Cove the boardwalk replaced it with good rides.

They removed it in 2018

They replaced this with another roller coaster

Ashley Smilz no it’s a good starting coaster

1 left turn and alot of right turns

Once I broke three of my toes on this ride, and my cousin sprained an ankle. ON THE SAME RIDE. This little fucker is rough, kills your neck, and is the closest thing to a Vekoma on the Shore. (Besides Great White at Morey's Piers, of course)
