I have been flying "WET" starting in 1959. .049 C/L plastic then balsa Flat, then to build-up Balsa. A couple of .35 powered C/L planes. 1976 first Radio, been flying R/C since then. 1/2A 2 channels, powered with .049 engines. Yank and bank flying at it's best. 1/12th Scale P-51 25 BB, and a couple of 60 in WS planes with .46 BB in them. Finally a 48x36 Blended Lifting Body powered with a .25 BB. I really like the power, flight time, and the sound of the engine running. Weight saving too with out the Batteries.

Great episode guys, keep up the good work, ur by far the best channel on KZread!!! As for gas or electric power plants u have to weigh the pro's an con's for the type of flying u want to do and how deep ur pockets are... Gas as we all know longer flight times cheap to run, cons oil residue everywhere an can be problematic running... Electric pros quick to get flying, quite running clean, cons quality electric running gear is not cheap nor are descent battery's an charge equipment,

negative ghost rider, it was made as a nitro kit a long time ago, before it was an ARF and before it was electric. Mine is built with a glue older than CA, the kind you had to wait for. It it very old and I have a few videos of it flying. Ran it into a street sign already and repaired the wing, it's lots of fun.

Great conversion. What do you think about converting a mustang? I mention it because the flight characteristics are great if the plane is perfectly balanced...I think the mustang would be hard to get the right weight with the "GOGTEC" considering it needs to be soooooooo nose heavy. Can i make an unofficial request to make a GOGTEC p51D Mustang? Thanks, and great job!

Nice plane. You spoke a lot about vent holes in the cowling for cooling the motor and ESC, but I couldn't tell from the video if you had air exit holes. It's all very well to have air entry, but if the air can not flow through it, ventilation will not work efficiently. You may even be compressing air in the cowling? But - if you did put exit vents - then maybe you should explain this to others viewing you video please.

I would change mine to electric in a heartbeat however it seems almost impossible to figure out what and how. The pain of getting all the kit ready and the thing running keeps me grounded most of the time now. Too little time. I really wish someone would sell a gas to electric conversion kit, Complete. Almost all my crashes have been due to engine flame out, Unless your are flying daily the glow motors are just too temperamental. Last flights with my ultimate Biplane with a Super Tigre 90 have all ended with engine quitting. and a wrecked aircraft.

if your thinking of going electric from glow, do some homework, but a watt meter, and most of all find a person who knows how to do this. You can very easily destroy a valuable plane if you do it wrong or if you dont get it just right you can have very short flight times and poor performance. Like I said, do your homework and get some help. Josh/Josh- good video and a sweet plane, it just wouldnt hurt to accurately convey how much goes into an electric conversion.

@Bolle90 60 glow engines actually weigh in the range of 700 grams. Let's do some math and see what the reality is... Fuel Weight = 200 grams, Engine = 700 grams, Total = 900 grams at full capacity. Electric Power 60 motor = 380 grams, 5000mah 6S Battery = 800 grams, Total = 1,180 grams at all capacities. Seems like electric power is 30-40% heavier than glow power, depending on the fuel left in the tank.
