I'm lost, he didn't say 'go ahead' once, he didn't even say 'you're gonna wanna go ahead' either, I now have my head stuck to the table with super glue and a hot knife in my eye ! Epic build David !

Where do you get the foam board? Do you get it from the dollar tree or somewhere else? It is amazing how you can create such great things with a poster!
I am going to purchase the kit so that I can use it as a pattern to make spare parts. I suggest everyone purchase at least 1 kit to support Flite Test to keep on designing these great plans.
I find these build videos so soothing.
What a great good bye masterpiece from David... You will be missed **sniff**

This is all we expect of David, it looks like quite a complicated build, bur the result is also quite spectacular, love it. Will I build it! Well not the EDF version, yet, but the pusher version is well worth investigating. Well done Flite Test once again.
I'm have no plans to build this soon. To many other ideas floating around. Yet, I still watch the whole video because i love the content! Thank you FT!

Please bring this back to the flight test store... I want one.
glad to see the build video back up. finished mine with a hobbyking 70mm fan (replacement EDF for the Zephyr, $25 from the USA warehouse) and running a 4S 3000 pack, works great, good speed/power, sounds great too, Thanks Flite Test!
Thanks for a comprehensive guide and beautiful build David. Not one for a complete novice like myself , but something to look forward to building.
I'm currently flying my 2nd FT Viggen and it's a great plane, thanks to David for a fantastic design that flies well and looks great in the air! I think you guys should include a carbon fibre spar for the wing fold in the kit. I found out it only takes one poor landing to develop a crease that gives the plane some asymmetric dihedral which makes the plane very hard to fly. The spar stops this from happening.
Just bought the Viggen. Super excited to get building! Vectored thrust EDF w/ scale cockpit FPV!
David this is an incredible design, so complex. I can't imagine the hours you have into it! Nice job.
Awesome! Such a perfect design. The build techniques are insanely good.
Congrats David, This EDF jet is awsome!
Sooo. Don't go crazy with glue but DO go crazy with tape! Thanks David! Great build. I can't wait to build my own!
I can't wait to get mine! Nice work David.
I love it! I just finished building one of these out of corflute and it was quite easy, even with the very different material it comes together nicely. Put together (dry fit) it looks reallllllly nice. Waiting on EDF unit now, I didn't pre-order when the FT team pre-warned me to because I was dubious! I shouldn't have been!!!

Thank you so much for coming up with the foam board jet version, the foam block version was super cool but just to hard. I think this one is better, all the fun and less work. The thrust vectoring and super simple pusher version sets me up for total success and a chance for my son to get one too.

Great video! Even if I don't build the planes, I still love watching the build videos.
Just picked up your kit from one of my not-so-close LHS (Great Hobbies), and am going through the video to figure out what I need to do BEFORE (lots of emphasis) I start the build. Lots of great concepts and possible scratch builds (Avro Arrow, TSR-2, Mig-25).
Your best plane till now! Love it!
Excellent job David !
I so want one of these, this video is really gonna help people guys great job! ATB Malc RCTV-UK
Dang... you make this look easy.. tempting.
Nice work! Im building this right now so thanks!
Well done mate you are a very talented young man who has the flare for showing others,How To!!!!!
David ; Extremely Nice Build Video ! Thanks
I learned a lot from your videos tonight! The other video I watched with the brushed speed controller and servo tester was a great idea! I have an old Novak controller from back in my 1984 Team Associated RC-10 racing days that I am going to use with my servo tester. A far safer method then the 120VAC light dimmer setup I have been using for sure! lol Using hot glue instead of epoxy is another technique I didn't think of. Thanks for the great, informative videos, you have a new subscriber... Thanks again...
Definitely one of the most advanced FT kits. Had me opening the GreatHobbies site to order an EDF kit. I will most likely also make this my first pre-cut kit as some of these cuts and creases are just *craaaazy* Having David do the build video was SPOT ON - It's too bad he's back in Sweden, it was a nice change from Bixler (No offense, Josh)
Lovley video, awesome model and in general great work David + cameracrew :) Another tip for securing servo extension, tie it together with dental floss, lightwieght, silly strong and holds a knot.
I don't think I'll be building this anytime soon as I don't have the experience yet BUT have watched it twice! I always thought I had tough fingers, having worked so many years with hot metal parts, but can't handle glue on my finger tips.Davids fingers must be like leather to be wiping that glue!! LOL His finger prints must be burnt off by now!! LOL Thanks for taking the time to design such a beautiful plane David..

You could do this plane if you have any expierence flying. If you do the light version with the prop in the back you could learn on this plane. You could even extend the wings out a little to give you more surface but dont think you would even need to do that, Go for it. Its only foam.

incredible hand work
This is m first EDF and it's a great plane. I just made the 3rd nose. It is as said. It absorbs a lot of energy when a crash happens. Thanks so much to the really genius David.

PEOPLE! hear out David instructions! lol they will make you'r build way more easy! you can pause at any time then continue! little by little you all will be able to build this one, it seems more elaborated than other foam FliteTest builds so take your Swedish time! And enjoy the final project! I'm sure fun will be accomplish! and also to quote some one we all know, MEMORIES! Fly safe! Ed

I'm sick and have no income I'm not looking for charity but if you guys ever have any scratch and dent stuff that you were just going to throw away I would really like to fly something before I go and if not thanks anyway i still love you guys

Could you use the other set of servos on the canards?
Nice work !
woohooo you made my night flitetest! 3 videos!!!!!!!
Amazing, I'm building mine now!
I would love a speed build kit for a FT Space Shuttle - it does not look like it would take too many modifications to the current plans. What do you think FliteTest ?

Looks like a great plane, I have ordered one and am going to add thrust vectoring. I was just wondering how you would set up the mixing for this...
You guys make this look so easy. How long have all of you been flying?
Thnx ..... it’s beautiful n flying great even the weight is 1.1Kg By the way u didn’t mention anything about the CG in ur Vid
Just a thought but i found at dollar general you can get this same foam in black. I built the F22 out of it and it looks awesome
so i got the plans for this plane printed today this is my first ever plane build !!1 ive been racing petrol rc cars for years but wanted a new challange so decided to go straight into it and build this and have it as my first ever flight !!! wish me luck
You guys should do some races with a few of your planes!
Hi David, You didn't say anything about C of G and where to place your battery depending on weight.

Sorry for late reply, you probably already know or built the plane. But the CG marks are on the plane it should tip just a bit nose down.
nice job really nice plane
Thanks guys!😊
GREAT IDEAL ON THE CARBON FIBER ROD THANK YOU
Few nice days supposed to be coming towards SW Ohio. I will be taking advantage of it!
Hey , I just bought the FT viggen from your store and ordered the fan and a battery , speed controller and your servos like you told us to do but I don't know how to connect everything together and how electric circuit work, so I wonder if you could do a video about it , just on the FT Viggen electric circuit with the extension wires and receiver and everything ? That would help me a lot !!! Thank you .
Swedish Aerospace Technology , Viggen is really a biplane ,canard makes incredible takeoff and landing performance !
I can't believe you took this out of the store! I know, I know, I can still get the plans......do you have any idea how hard it is to make all the cuts, half cuts, through these planes. I know because I did it and it don't come out nice like the fast pre- cut kit at all. I had to remake parts to fit right, go back and forth on video, it's crazy it's a a program to cut it on your lazer cutter...just punch it in and done. ..I'll even pay a little more to have it cut it out. Rethink putting it back in the store...please.
Awesome 👍🏻 Build a Gripen Fighter or a Draken Fighter!!
Holy crap... 1 hour build video... well, that's my morning screwed... because of course I'll watch this first, and tend to my duties later.
Ahh yes, the Viggen, where my obsession with EDFs started!
dont go to crazy you´re driving me crazy by repeat this over and over again

hey guys, amazing stuff, I have a possible suggestion, instead of elevon mixing, couldn't we use the canards as en elevator? maybe a skewer though instead of glueing the canards to the body? ps I have yet to build my own plane, but I sill soon!!! Thanks for all the hard works!
Great video!! =)
Hi David and everyone else building this plane. Just wondering if (thrust tube section) at the back when you are gluing the tube together, wouldnt it make it easier to blow up a balloon just enough to keep the tube tight against the 70mm wall section so you dont have to hold it with your hands? Would make things alot easier for beginner builders if that is the case. Cheers //Erik
Dear David / Flite Test, You did a great job I just printed the tiled plans and tape it together now I need some foam and the electronics to build the only problem is we dont have some foamboard in my country and if I want to buy the speed build kit it costs me more shipping costs then the price of the plane :( and we only have depron what can I do to make it easyer to build it like the plans? maybe I can print the full plans at a printing house and glue that on the depron?! what do you recomment?? Greetings, Didier Neefe from The Netherlands
I am planning on making the one with the 70mm fan can u tell me the name of all the things I will need plus transmitter on a cheap budget
I believe everyone here at FT will forgive the poor guy who disliked the project. He was probably so excited he didn't notice he hit the wrong button.
if i want to add working Canard and Rudder, this will have a negative effect on the plane performace? i thought about do the visual effect making then but not adding servos at first but im not sure about it.
nd you might wanna say what type of cable is it we are going to need to extend that esc
Question is the thrust tube coned formed with a smaller outlet circle than the circle on the fan side? and are the inlets in front larger than than the fan inlet?
Pleeease build the F-117! It´s such an awesome plane!
Do you have any plans for making a speed build kit available?
Where's the cg?
I've honestly wondered why you all don't use clear packing tape much more extensively.....it would do tremendous strengthing to the whole thing, and provide a slick smooth finish to improve flight efficiency....
This was a MASTERPIECE of Foam Board!!! WHY isn't it available anymore in the FT Store? There's now a $90.00 FT SCOUT... So it can't be cost. I'd love to build one, but I'm not INSANE enough to try and draw and cut one out of Foamboard!!!

Trust me ,I'm trying to build one from scratch, it sucks .I think the reason is because of the designs being made by former employees, look gorgeous the mighty mini corsair, the 24 inch one is gone ,all we have is the 30,the old speedster is gone Atwell, mighty mini speedster, x29,all gone

@@rexc3123 a decent number of their older planes were discontinued/removed from the store when it was redone a couple years ago.
i thought that this plane would take a good while to build and it would take a lot more pieces than it did to build it but all of the piece just fold and bend together very nicely and make a wonderful flying EDF jet.
Great Job.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
are the plans out yet?
So, I'm in the process of splicing the esc wires, but noticed their aluminium...so i'm assuming I have to use aluminium wire for the lengthening, correct?
Build skids so it can take off and land in snow or short grass?
Wow, I could actually build that thing and it doesn't seem too hard, just a bit of a time eater but the result is great
awesome airplane David please make many many more before you go back home to Sweden :)
Whats your favorite battery connector?
Need a design for swap-able EDF pod that could be swapped between jets. :)
What kind of paint can be used for painting the paper covered foam board?
I've watched this like 5 times!
you could use a small nylon tie wrap to hold the esc much more firmly...just a note

Hi I was wondering if your glue gun melts the foam a little bit? Thanks
center of balance. Hi guys. built this as my first edf of any size. I tried flying today and have an issue. No matter how far forward I put the battery (2200 mah 3 cell) the plane just wants to do a flip upwards and loops back to me. I rechecked the surfaces and went step by step on the build video and do not see anywhere where you discuss the cg of this plane. Anyone else have this issue its like it does an immediate inside loop. The loop is up and back not down and back. Any help is appreciated. Happy holidays all and we miss david too... lol also found out that a 2212 motor is waaayyy too much for the nutball lol...

wich plane should i buy if im a beginner
dear , I wonder if you guys send kit to Brazil ?
I know I’m a little late to the party but what kind of power pack should this be ran on for the light setup?
