I have 3 main issues with the pusher configuration on the "Popwing" style wings that this wing design resolves I like a lot. Getting the propeller out of your face and therefore your eyes on takeoff, the ability to hold the wing from underneath with stability and control of all 3 axis in the wind, and being able to takeoff with the wing level rather than start the flight without "rhythm" out of sync with gravity by holding the tip and giving it a "swing" relying on reflexes and fast servos to recover from a crooked launch. And this type of design allows you keep a clean L/D by putting the electronics inside out of the airflow as well as the rain for gliding around. One thing about these guys I've noticed is their designs are very practical and their site offers a wealth of valuable information. Thanks Flight Test.

As I'm learning that most of the better FT Videos and conversations, are at least 4 years old... IF you're still even around and flying, if like to concur with your statements here. All I could think of adding is, Tractor configurations are MUCH easier to Balance. You know, only the cornerstone of successful Flight!! Where I differ from most, I Need Landing Gear. I'm older and Disabled with several Spinal injuries. I can't go running after Aircraft. I need the ability to Taxi, or at least be able to hop back in the Air, to bring it close to me... Wings have never been the easiest to fit Landing Gear under. But I'm up for the challenge! If a B-2 and even the B-36/49 can have it, I can make it work. 😉

Bank - use aileron to bank left or right, yank on elevator to increase turn rate - no rudder to co-ordinate the falling nose as you bank with added drag on the rising wing and lower drag on the dropping wing. Control is just 'bank & yank'

Had an idea for a build for you guys. I know it's been done many times but would like to see your version of a SU37 pusher jet with all control surfaces working. Rudders, elevator, ailierons and cannards. Vectored thrust would be cool to have but you don't have to do it. Would like to see how you would set up all those servos and mixes on the plane. Now theirs a challenge for Dave. Thanks

Josh S is NOT a beginner. He's been part of this show (let alone flying as long). He needs to be bumped up to "intermediate", lol. Keep up the good work guys! I'll continue to spend money on your stuff. By the way, 2 recommendations... 1) I love your swappables, but don't really care for the "swappable" part anyway, so I'm plenty fine with good models that don't have a swap unit. So dedicated models are fine. 2) grab some cheap motors and ESC's and sell full kits. Add a few dollars for profit!

I think another way to say about the propellers mounting direction is "the molded in prop data always faces the front of the plane" , where the air collects up and passes the prop. Robert HK PS#4

Bi-Wing Challenge: Form two of the wings together into a single plane with 2 independent motors and elevons. Each separate wing will be controlled by a different pilot and both pilots will have to coordinate to perform 3 series of basic flight patterns (ie. loops, rolls, inverted or something similar) before crashing or landing the plane without harming the integrity of the plane. It sounds like a tough challenge but I think you guys of all people can do it. - Good Luck!

There are flitetest videos that touch of both subjects, but Elevon setup is going to be specific to your Tx brand (manual or google), as far as Expo, again relative to your Tx brand, some express the value as a positive and some negative. Expo is non-liner stick scaling based on a curve to soften the stick near center. The value to use is based on pilot preference, skill level and the plane. A good starting value is 60-65% then fine tune until the control authority feels right to you.

Do you really like that? I heard it was awful but I never had the opportunity to try it personally.. I'm about ready to get my hands back into this after many years absence from nitro planes and dreaming in the 90's of FPV using a HI8 video camera with a Sr.Telemaster (crashed)!! SWEEET! Hey, one other versatile versatility question for the Versa: Have you tried using this as a slope flyer? I know it's a bit of a trek to get to the site where you guys did your slope flying video, but even a good sized building can be used for slope. It would be nice to see how this stacks up against other slope wings. Looking forward to picking up a speed kit. This is just way too much fun!

I decided to modify the model slightly by going with a blunt nosed version, but long story short, THIS THING FLYS AMAZING!!!! This was my first foam board scratch build, but it flew magnificently!!! Granted its a little uglier, but the moment I let go of it, I was in awe!!! By the way, this plane is capable of alot more weight than expected and the glide is pretty impressive!

I store my foam board and planes/wings in my garage which can get quite damp at times. This as u know isn't good for foam-board and has ruined many of my planes/wings/jets that i have made.(example: spent 3 days building an f-35 and waited for good weather for a week to fly and all the damp weather ruined the hinges). My question to you is have u had any experience in this and may have a solution to keep the paper attached to the foam? Any suggestions would be helpful! Thank you and regards!

Please explain it to me. Why do people always make the wrong side beautiful? Everyone tries to make the top of the airplane as beautiful, while you only see the bottom when you fly (unless you fly upside down). And graphics cards (in a pc) are just the other way around. The bottom is made to look cool, while you see it from above when it is in a pc..
