Thank you for posting. I dropped my Flir scout TK and chipped the lens. The piece you removed and set aside in your video. Do you know a way to repair that piece. I've been told laser lenses might work.

The thermal imager uses a lens of complex shape. The laser lens does not work well.

I don't have a dump. This also happens when the matrix cable is damaged.

Hi, I've had a flirty scott for 2 years. I charged the battery 3 months ago. I turned it on today, but neither the screen nor the LED lit up. I set it to charge again, but to no avail. The LED is also off. I disassembled it in the same way and measured the internal battery - 4.02 volts. Do you know what the problem might be? Thanks.

Try measuring the battery voltage when you press the power button. If the voltage goes low, then the battery is bad. It is also possible that the firmware is corrupted. I do not have a successful experience of repairing software problems.

@@user-rh4zq7re9q There may be a problem with the firmware. Sometimes the power contacts are oxidized. Perhaps a bad contact in the matrix cable. You can check the contacts yourself. Firmware is not publicly available.

The reed switch was installed to turn off the power of the thermal imager. It was located at the bottom of the thermal imager. The magnet moves on a slider. The slider was made on a 3D printer.

Hello, i have the same device. Could you tell me how to remove the board ? I already removed the battery but i see inside there is a screw that come from the outside to the camera and a other one screwed directly to the aluminium plate. Thank you :)

You need to pull out the spring plates. The board is attached to the aluminum plate with two screws.

@@uhoboris7746 i'm stuck between the step 1 and 2. I cannot remove what is left of the adjustment wheel after unscrewing it. This is what stuck the duo board /aluminum plate, i think. My goal is changing the usb plug, it's broken.

Hello i have the same problem like everybody else with the USB port it broke off so and I can't replace it so I pulled out the battery and charged it myself and put the battery back in when I turn it on it just displays the brand name on the screen and that's all nothing else happens after it just stays that way what do you think the problem is?? any info is greatly appreciated..

Check the cable to the matrix. When it breaks, there is a problem.

@@apodc123 Without a signal from the matrix, there will be no full firmware download. This is the most common cause of stuck on splash screen image. All other reasons you will not be able to check.

мне не сказали, что делали, но сказали, что проблема в зарядке. Не заряжать никакими зарядками - рекомендовали на самсунге - ток был 2а. А вы сами откуда?

Я из Украины. Я не думаю что проблема в типе зарядки. В разьеме зарядки-это возможно. Он часто выходит из строя.

Check battery voltage. It may be completely discharged. Check your contacts. If there is no voltage at the terminals when the charger is connected, then you need to change the microcircuit.

Привет, я возобновил свой флирт. Замерил аккумулятор - показывает 3,77 вольта. При этом я включил кнопку питания, но батарея все равно показывает 3,77 вольта. Зеленый светодиод вообще не горит. Отсоединил ленточный кабель и рассмотрел его под микроскопом - он оказался крепким и не оборванным. Что еще я могу сделать? Спасибо!!!

Ты пробовал отключать аккумулятор? Заряди отдельно аккумулятор. Подключи. Померь напряжение на схеме. Часто проблема в разъеме аккумулятора. Дальше нужно проверять напряжения после ДС- ДС преобразователей. Там есть микросхема которая отвечает за заряд аккумулятора и имеет внутри стабилизаторы напряжения. Ее нужно проверить в первую очередь.

Здравствуйте, получил ответ от сервиса.Причина в зарядке. Заряжал свои флирты разными зарядками - телефонами, компами и т.д. В сервисе мне сказали, что я должен использовать зарядное устройство Samsung, чтобы в будущем у меня не было чипов.

I have a FLIR scout tk, The USB broke off the board, and some of the terminals are broke off too in the USB Housing so it will no longer charge, or transfer images to the computer. I am searching for a USB connector . I am looking to buy a USB connector (vertical). Maybe Anyone of You knows where I can buy it. ??? I have tried to find this USB Vertical Charging Port online many times and still can't find the RIGHT ONE FOR THIS FLIR SCOUT TK THERMAL CAMERAS CIRCUIT BOARD! Can Someone please help Me find and Buy the right one, with the part number, and company, business to get this (Vertical USB PORT) for this Camera! ???

Нужно снять защёлки по бокам и акуратно отклеить скотч в районе разъема. Тогда плату можно вытащить. Предварительно вытащив аккумулятор

@@breams477 Поменял аккумулятор на более емкий. Восстановил разъем шлейфа. Он был оторван после падения. И поставил герконовый выключатель в разрыв питания. В выключенном состоянии при длительном лежании садился аккумулятор.

@@breams477 Если есть приборы и сами в теме то первое что сделайте это посмотрите на целосность шлейфа и механические повреждения. Прозвонку нужно делать между разъемами а не только сам шлейф. Если не уверенны то лучше сами не лезьте. После самостоятельного неудачного ремонта восстановить все обойдется намного дороже.

My TK only has clear picture with a 100% battery. If the battery levels drops below about 50% the picture becomes grainy or snowy with horizontal lines over the viewer after a “ calibrating” event. Does the battery need replacement or is there another issue? Any other people experiencing the same problem?

I have not encountered such a problem. The internal resistance of the battery may have become high. A large current is required during calibration. Try replacing the battery. Breakdown of the voltage stabilizer is also possible. It is necessary to watch the supply voltage with an oscilloscope with a discharged battery.

I had the exact same problem. I replaced the battery after watching this video on how to open the TK. The battery is a normal 18650 lithium ion 3.7V battery. My TK now works again as new. Many thanks to Uho Boris !!!
