Flipping For A Classic 1955 Farmall Cub in Iowa!

The Farmall Cub was one of the smallest, but one of the most popular tractors ever built by International Harvester. It was in the Farmall line up from 1947 to 1979. We take you to Iowa for the story of Don Rimathe and his 1955 Farmall Cub -- a tractor his grandkids are flipping over!

Cubs are great tractors, great for all odd jobs. Glad he has a grandson who appreciates it too!

I don't know a thing about farming and with my lifelong asthma would never be able to farm but I love tractors. Something calming and romantic about looking at these vintage machines of America's heartland.

Mr. Don is quite correct. In the late 1940s and especially the 1950s my Grandpa and all his neighbors who were all small tobacco farmers bought Cubs. Grandpa's was a 1955 just like this one. That was the first tractor I ever drove or used. Daddy and I used it along with Daddy's 140 to raise tobacco and garden. Like Mr. Don, I too am fond of the 1954-56 all red Farmalls with the stainless steel emblems. Looks like he has a great collection.

I learnt to drive when I was 8 years old, thats 64 years ago. It was a tractor, not a Farmall cub but another model. I worked in the field for short periods of time under the watchful eye of my Dad. I thank him for the opportunity to help in his daily operation on the farm. The kids will never forget the experience. God Bless

What tractor did you learn on? I’m just 13 and I’ve been driving since I was about 7 or 8, and I learnt how to drive on a j.i case 990, boy was that a big tractor to me years ago

I learnt on an early 50's Fordson Super Major, I could barely push the clutch in and was only allowed to use the disc harrows on flat ground. Later moved on to International B250's and a B275boy that was a long time ago. God bless@@30acreshop_time

I remember watching a video with all real nice Farmall tractors doing a square dance. In northwest Iowa I believe it was filmed.

How nice the grandchildren have the tractor given to them. Wonderful gift. Great little tractor. Nice tractors in the shed. We had a 350 and a 400. Good tractors. Great collection. Thanks. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

Nice tractor and nice collection. Last summer, I posted a video of my grandson who is about the same age as Carter, driving by John Deere A. I didn’t publish it publicly. It was private just so he and other family members could watch it. The tractor was barely moving. It was idling in first gear. Oddly, it was taken down by KZread and I was flagged for a child endangerment. Classic Tractor fever you may want to be careful what you post.
