Flintlock Squirrel Hunt & Deer Scout | 18th Century Trek, Day Camp
Today we're traveling back in time for a quiet day in the woods hunting squirrels and scouting for deer. I'm in my family woods for this hunt. This woods was planted shortly before I was born and I've grown up in its shade.
We don't get any squirrels, but we do see a few deer and get some good practice using my 18th century gear.

You're out in nature. If you're lucky enough to be outdoors, you're lucky enough. It's always nice to get an animal, but in the end, ,(as long as you have plenty of food), being out is what matters most.
Ethan you said it perfectly. “It just doesn’t get any better then this “. Well done and please keep them coming
THIS was very enjoyable to watch! I think that you are on the right track by just getting out there and experiencing the Muzzle Loader Adventure! Well Done!
Thanks Ethan. We much appreciate your videos and their educational content. "Long hunter, keep your scalp and your powder dry."
Good job
Good stuff!
Ethan, Thanks for taking Us with You, felt like I was right there. Picture perfect area. Next time bring enough sausages for the rest of Us. Good Day...
New video let's go! Love the ML!
Nice! I was kinda wanting to see the exit hole on the gel or the entrance hole on the jug.
Ethan your skills and equipment keep getting better with each Trek!

Awesome video Ethan I could almost smell the autumn woods and feel the cool wind, keep up the great work!
You bagged a banger! Cheers!
Looks like a great day.
Well done!
Awesome content! The scenery was beautiful my friend!!
Well done Ethan that was excellent > like going back 200 years frontier America ... my only criticism is your clothing is far too dark for hunting > 2:50 ! a beige coloured coat would be a better choice and broken up a bit with a few darker accessories !
Great video going back to simpler times nothing better
Very good camera work. Felt like I was there following you.
👏👏👏👏
My kind of video!? Good job.
Great video. Spent a few days last week in the woods doing likewise. Didn't see near the deer sign you were seeing though.
Good stuff, Ethan. I sure wish I could hunt squirrels here in PA without having to don the blaze orange.
Great video really enjoyed it. Question, was that a 18 century brats? Good Luck and Be Safe

LOL and how did it get those grill marks on that stick...
Nice video. But, squirrel hunting in a pine forest usually is pretty fruitless. Try oaks and hickories.

Great photography. Love the coat, too. Wondering what pattern you used…? Thanks!

The coat is from Cobb Creek Merchants! Great quality. I ordered mine a bit too big but I still like it.
What caliber are you using ?
Hey that wilderness is planted in rows.

Dang squirrels are organizing I tell ya what
Looks like a great day!! Do you hunt deer with that 40 caliber rifle?
Nice video. I would be sitting with that rifle gun right next to me or in my lap in case a Bar or a Catamont came a looking for trouble. Keeping it be hind you is scary.
What kind of squirrel is that?was that squirrel sausage?
Is that public land?
Question, Ethan. Where do you get your clothing?

Hey Doc, I talk about my clothing in this video and a couple more on the channel. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qXZtqplpZ7m3gpM.htmlsi=U0oiyxmuymxTayt4 Search for “trekking” on my channel and you should be directed towards the others
HyVee meat department brats are better than those Johnsonville ones!
Not many squirrels
What or who is filming you?

Looks like the Insta360° camera on a invisible selfie stick.

Very similar to the insta 360, I’m using a Go Pro Max, which does the same things.
Ethan, please try not to use the palm of your hand to seat the ball with your ramrod. Be safe brother.
